A Winnipeg doctor is demanding an official apology and compensation from United Airlines after being kicked off a flight in the U.S. this week, an incident he has characterized as "institutionalized discrimination." Dr. Ahmed Farooq, a Muslim, was escorted off an airplane in Denver on Tuesday. According to Farooq, reciting his evening prayers was interpreted by one passenger as an activity that was suspicious.
"The whole situation is just really frustrating," Farooq said. "It makes you uneasy, because you realize you have to essentially watch every single thing you say and do, and it's worse for people who are of colour, who are identifiable as a minority."
Farooq said the allegation came from a passenger who appeared drunk and had previously threatened him during the trip.

Nice, respectful, silent prayer.
Nice straw man.
Where did that happen?
(Aside from in your fevered imagination, that is.)
""The whole situation is just really frustrating," Farooq said. "It makes you uneasy, because you realize you have to essentially watch every single thing you say and do...""
Yeah, so what's your point?
Farooq off, Ahmed.
"The extra cost for these precautions will, of course, be added to the ticket price paid by the Muslims."
Not to mention the cost of the lost planes.
Completely reasonable and rational plan, therefore, it would never be considered.
I'm just looking at one such list on wikipedia. It's predominately Muslim acts for recent history.
How does one know which direction is Mecca while on an airplane?
BZZZZZT!!! You get no points for that.
Timothy McVeigh is the exception to the Christian "rule". Not the "rule" as it is in the death cult of islam.
McVeigh could not point to any Christian teaching that would justify the OK bombing. Plus, McVeigh's own lawyers tried to put forth a theory that McVeigh was involved with islamic terrorists. It's been suggested that Nichols might have been involved with islamic terrorists in the Philippines.
Sorry bud, but as a rule Christans don't promote death and destruction of others. Whereas islam over and over in the koran promotes death and destruction.
There are not millions of Timothy McVeighs being produced in churches all over the world. But the imams of islam promote their death cult daily in mosques all over the planet.
Bad comparison!
Right you are! Any inconvenience and discomfort( awww) these barbarian cultists are experiencing is brought to them by their OWN murderous 'religion' and it's declaration of war on the civilized world. And they have the nerve to be offended!
Imagine a cannibal, who has a recipe to cook you, wondering why you have a problem with a dinner invitation!
What all airliners need is a pressurized, secret, escape hatch.
Then yodeling, rag-head, death-cultists could pray...allll the way down.
Give me a major break already! These people have a lot of stones getting pissy when it is their people wanting to kill us. Can't they leave there praying to when they leave home and after they get where they are going? How about the bathroom? It strikes me as ironic they are so "spiritual and yet they just want to kill for religious reasons!
Ok, but was he on his hands and knees, banging his head in the asile, and wailing while facing Mecca? If he wasn't then how was the drunk next to him supposed to know he was praying and not cursing infidel drunks.
Try reading the entire article, pal.
Security told him after he was pulled off the plane that he should NOT have been pulled off, that the airline overreacted. Then he had to buy another plane ticket to get home.
No imagination here, just the facts as presented in the article.
We didn't cause this problem. Before Muslims started killing people all over the World, nobody paid them much attention. It is silly to ignore the fact that almost all the terrorism in the World is motivated by Islam.
If this doctor has a problem with the situation, he should take it up with his local Imam that has been preaching death and destruction every day for the last ten years. If they are going to say these things, should we be blamed when we believe them?
Until then, I take the deafening silence as indication that muslims in general are on the side of the terrorists.
Lame!
Lame!
Lame!
Lame!
Lame!
One non-muslim example as a mirror image to tens of thousands of Muslim Mass Murderers?
Muslim logic...
He is a muslim male, between the ages of 18-45. He is on a plane, and begins audibly reciting his prayers.
If I had been sitting next to him, yes, I would have been damned nervous.
How about him showing some compassion and consideration for his fellow passengers, who recognize the reality that people who fit his profile exhibit that exact behavior before they check out, often taking hundreds of other people with them.
He is lucky that about 40 passengers didn't jump on his lame ass and beat him to a bloody senseless pulp to keep him from lighting his shoes on fire or some other such thing.
Well, deep in my heart of hearts I'd like to be able to forcibly remove, with impunity, any Muslim from any form of public transportation I need to use. But that's just me talking.
But if I'm ever on a plane and somebody does what you suggested, I'll be sure to give ya a "FReeper wave" and a big grin as Security escorts you off the plane. ;)
Part of the ablution ritual.
