This week is shaping up as the MSM's kick-off of its Hillary for President campaign. Using Time Magazine's 10th cover of Hillary as a springboard, this morning's Today show convened a liberal coffee klatsch on Clinton's political future. Dem pollster Peter Hart summed up the segment's zeitgest nicely: "I think Americans are ready for a female president. I think they are definitely ready for Hillary Clinton."

Not a discouraging word was to be heard, as 'Today' found it unnecessary to invite to the party anyone who might have a negative view of Hillary and her prospects. In addition to Hart, we were treated to a clip from liberal WaPo columnist E.J. Dionne, who suggested that Hillary's campaign strategy would be similar to the one Bill successfully employed: "hold onto a certain number of liberals and win a chunk of the center."

Declared NBC reporter Lisa Daniels, who narrated the segment: "Americans are beginning to soften their feelings for the junior senator from New York." She cited in support a poll Time apparently commissioned for purposes of its cover story that found that 53% of Americans had a favorable opinion of Hillary, more than for any of her potential challengers for the Dem presidential nomination.

Daniels painted a picture of Clinton as undecided as to her presidential ambitions. While embracing Hart's view that Americans are ready for Hillary, Daniels proclaimed that "the $64,000 question" is "whether Hillary herself is ready?" Time editor Richard Engel informed us that after winning her Senate race, "she's going to sit down with her advisors and decide what to do." Does anyone doubt that Hillary is aching to run? But the MSM propagates her official line that she is focused on the Senate and won't even think about other things till later. Right.

The stuff really started to get deep when Hart, managing to maintain a serious mien, proclaimed toward the segment's end: "Hillary Clinton, in terms of a vision of where America can be, can inspire people in much the same way that Robert Kennedy did forty years ago."

Room for one more at Rushmore?

Those tight britches Hillary was wearing in that teenage photo of her look like a striped lizard and give me the creeps.

an insight into the character of the 'woman'.. never flitched... never THOUGHT of lending a helping hand. If she's this bad at the personal level, imagine how she feels about the faceless public.

That's not to say that the Kerryites (or whoever) won't be as bad politically, but there would probably be a lot fewer corpses and sexual assaults.

No, she's no RFK or JFK; she's firmly ensconced in today's Democrat party:

"...E.J. Dionne, who suggested that Hillary's campaign strategy would be similar to the one Bill successfully employed: "hold onto a certain number of liberals and win a chunk of the center."

The only problem with this scenario is that she won't have the little man with the big ears from Texas to syphon 19% of the vote from the Republican candidate. Were it not for that egocentric jerk, the country would never have sunk so low as to have Billy Jeff as our Prez and his skanky wife as First Witch.

I get this feeling that the MSM's hope for a Rat takeover in congress for '06 is fading real fast and they are now just focusing on '08.

That's not possible. For one thing, they've torn down the Ambassador Hotel.

OTOH, there's no shortage of møøslimb assassins...

One thing that she needs to happen is for the Dems to implode before election day. If the Dems win in November, it will be the far left that will be empowered, and her efforts at being a "centrist" will be severely punished by the Deaniac types who will be running the show. I am expecting several "October surprises" unleashed by the Clintonistas designed to destroy the chances the far left has of winning back Congress. When they lose, then St. Hillary will ride in and rid the DNC of the extremist losers and bring "moderation" to the party. Then the fawning over Hillary will a thousand times as bad as it is now.

Same reason as much as I disliked X42, I'm glad nothing terrible ever happened to him, to made him a sympathetic figure to all the emotion-driven morons out there who vote accordingly.

*shrug* Some STDs are fatal...

On the plus(?) side, if the dems get elected we will get a very strong and much More intrusive 'Patriot' Act, no more news from Guantanamo, unlimited wiretapping of all communications within or to the US, and troops will be pulled from Iraq to here to 'maintain order'.

The democrat's greatest victory - losing Vietnam - will be replayed in Iraq. Who knows for what new Cambodia that will set the stage?

How about the Venture Bros. episode "Love Bheits". It is a mature cartoon with an admittedly left wing spin which appears on cartoon network. It makes fun of the old Johnny Quest series. It rejoices in big shot failures.

In that episode the Dictator is deposed when he accidentally marries a boy so "Girl Hitler" gets elected president, with her boyfriend Catclops (a man with a catface on his forehead. see also: man with "cat" on his mind)

It is not just the MSM but even popular culture which is pushing hitlary.

I wish I had a picture of "Girl Hitler" and "Catclops" to show everyone.
