This week is shaping up as the MSM's kick-off of its Hillary for President campaign. Using Time Magazine's 10th cover of Hillary as a springboard, this morning's Today show convened a liberal coffee klatsch on Clinton's political future. Dem pollster Peter Hart summed up the segment's zeitgest nicely: "I think Americans are ready for a female president. I think they are definitely ready for Hillary Clinton."

Not a discouraging word was to be heard, as 'Today' found it unnecessary to invite to the party anyone who might have a negative view of Hillary and her prospects. In addition to Hart, we were treated to a clip from liberal WaPo columnist E.J. Dionne, who suggested that Hillary's campaign strategy would be similar to the one Bill successfully employed: "hold onto a certain number of liberals and win a chunk of the center."

Declared NBC reporter Lisa Daniels, who narrated the segment: "Americans are beginning to soften their feelings for the junior senator from New York." She cited in support a poll Time apparently commissioned for purposes of its cover story that found that 53% of Americans had a favorable opinion of Hillary, more than for any of her potential challengers for the Dem presidential nomination.

Daniels painted a picture of Clinton as undecided as to her presidential ambitions. While embracing Hart's view that Americans are ready for Hillary, Daniels proclaimed that "the $64,000 question" is "whether Hillary herself is ready?" Time editor Richard Engel informed us that after winning her Senate race, "she's going to sit down with her advisors and decide what to do." Does anyone doubt that Hillary is aching to run? But the MSM propagates her official line that she is focused on the Senate and won't even think about other things till later. Right.

The stuff really started to get deep when Hart, managing to maintain a serious mien, proclaimed toward the segment's end: "Hillary Clinton, in terms of a vision of where America can be, can inspire people in much the same way that Robert Kennedy did forty years ago."

Room for one more at Rushmore?

Hillary has a record of dealing with problems (Vince Foster) the same way as RFK (Marilyn).

Yeh.... and Bill deals similarly ....... Jerry Parks, Ron Brown, two kids on the railroad tracks, etc.

I heard a rumor that Katie Couric was going to do her first broadcast as CBS News anchor wearing a burqua in a gesture of solidarity? Can anyone affirm or deny?

Comparing that thing to Bobby Kennedy is so low. If Ted Kennedy were capable of it, he'd be ashamed.

I wish she would just go away. She's not even qualified to be the be a senator from NY and she's most certainly not qualified to be the Commander in Chief. The thought makes me ill.

"I just don't see a Pubbie wannabe who can defeat her."

I seriously doubt there are many who are willing to put up with the abuse and the Hillary private investigators trying to dig up dirt (or create dirt?) on them, too. She plays the Clinton kind of hardball and alot of people in politics don't know how to play that game.

Yeah, she's gonna sit down with her advisors and decide what to do..........SHE'S HAD THESE PLANS TO BE POTUS SINCE 1993! CC_guy, you're right about them thinking we're fools. I just hope and pray enough people will see this for the sham it is. The Clintoons will stop at NOTHING to regain the White House. Hell, they think it's theirs for life! I think I'm gonna blow chunks!

The rat's and rat media can continue to lie and hoist Hillary on their narrow shoulders all they want. The truth will set us free!

Maybe Hitlery is the next RFK. They're both useless sacks of cr@p that use their family name to get ahead.

(Oh and both like the ladies. wink wink)

Unfortunately, any GOP that runs against her will probably have a hard time winning the election! I just saw the multitude of illegal immigrants on Drudge and those are the illegal votes that will get her in! We have been screaming, kicking and yelling at the top of our lungs for YEARS to the govt. to STOP the illegals, now we are in deep doo-doo! There is NO stopping or departing them back, we are in trouble. Remember the majority of these folks can't even read or write much less bring any advantages to this country! They will be manipulated into voting for the BEAST from HELL! The implications of having here is so tremendous it's SCARY!

I have been to Arlington Cemetery 3 times. For the first 2 times I didn't get to(or necessarily feel the need to want to) visit JFK or RFK's graves. On the third time, I was on a tour and had some time left over enough that I thought I'd just check out the Kennedys anyway and wow, is that big enough? RFK has a simple cross but is linked with JFK who has this massive marble place with all his quotes and you'd think it was JFK's cemetery, all about him. I was just shocked that it was more than the eternal flame, they took up a lot of land to build their shrine. Stark contrast to Taft, Pershing, Bradley, Audie Murphy, etc. etc. etc. They are into the building up of legends and supposed greatness.

Movie about Bobby...

Why doesn't some big name director do a promo movie about the Clintons and call it 'The RAIDERS From the Lost Ark(ansas)'.

Really, I am not liking any of the possible GOP candidates mentioned. They aren't tough enough. Duncan Hunter needs to be getting petitioned, seriously. He's the man. Forget George Allen. Hunter doesn't take any b.s. and I haven't heard him mentioned but people need to take a look at him for the GOP nominee.

The good news is that as long as Hitlery is not elected POTUS in 2008, we will probably be rid of her.

She WILL NOT run against an incumbent Republican president and if a different 'Rat is elected, he would become the new "power broker" and the Clintonistas would be finished.
