WASHINGTON -- Sen. Joe Lieberman on Sunday called for the resignation of Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and backed an international conference to find a way out of the crisis in Iraq.

Lieberman, who is seeking a fourth term as an independent candidate after losing the Democratic nomination to newcomer Ned Lamont on Aug. 8, also criticized some fellow Democrats. He said several Democrats are trying to impose a "litmus test" on the party.

Joe "Pander Bear" Liberman. If Lamont wasn't so dangerous and the republican candidate so hopeless, it would be time to have Joe's retirement party.

This country is far better off with Rummy as Sec of Defense than with Lieberman as senator.

Hey, I can do it too: I hereby call for every Democrat in political office to resign.

I believe Rumsfeld will leave right after the polls close in November.

Rumsfeld is good at this stuff - he put down the Hillary tirade with one "heavens", making her look like a hysterical loon.

Secretary Rumsfeld should call for Lieberman's resignation.

To: quantim
Maybe he should be addressing that quitting stuff to Ned Lamont !!!

Seems like a dumb thing for Lieberman to do at this point.

If our Iraq policy is a failure, then why not blame Lieberman? He's one of the architects.

"Lieberman to far-leftists: "See, I can do this stuff too! Vote for me!" I've not forgiven Lieberman for all the thing he said while running around with that nut-case Algore.

Maybe, maybe that will teach those RINOs who were thrilled with Looserman's decision to go independent and those, including Bush, who refuse to back the GOP nominee. Poetic justice in my opinion.

Not sure why so many talking heads and GOP types defend Lieberman so much, he is still a rat at the core.
Perhaps he should quit sucking on the public dole and get a job.

Well, Lieberman just urinated away whatever support he had from Republicans. Glad I didn't jump on the bandwagon.
Republicans should stop sticking their nose into this race, Schlesinger should withdraw, and the two of them should just duke it out between them like Alien vs Predator.

To: quantim
Ok, so now there is absolutely no one to vote for in CT election.
