This is so true and accurate. I may use it in the beginning of EVERY Sunday thread!

McCain brings a whole new dimension to the word triangulation. He really thinks he is "the" player. Exactly, he is the closest thing to a Clintoon in the Republican party.

Exactly snugs, great explanation! There never is a free lunch. Someone always pays and usually the cost is passed on.

You ask THE question!!
"There are 535 members of Congress. Why these same tired old guests? Really tiresome." I would refine it a little and ask, 'Where are our guys? Republican leaders, Republican defenders of our Commander In Chief, and the military? Where are my Georgia senators, Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isackson?
Before I realized the movie "Creature From The Black Lagoon" was playing on AMC, I caught the list of the top stories on CNN Headline News, in this order:
1. the new democratic calendar for primaries.
2. Iraq, another dead American soldier. 2,605 have now died
3. 27 incumbant Republicans are vulnerable, according to The Cook Report .
4. Arrival time of Jon Bonet Ramsey murder suspect.
Then I flipped just in time to heaar the first C-span caller of the day who said: "In 2000, and you can check it out', she told the host, ", George Bush said "I will go to war", and she said, "that's exactly what he did." This C-Span moment was a prime example of why it's the worst offender when it comes to airing false information. That host could have challenged the caller by asking just where might folks "check it out".

#115, we could have guessed he was going to be on by his rhetoric this past week, and since we are coming up on the one Year Anniversary of Katrina. What a difference a year makes. Now the DBM are begging for another Cat 3-5 Hurricane, they are such sicko ghouls.

I just watched the McCain MTP segment with Gregory. The senator is really a tragedy. His inner struggle to stay away from positions that alienate the moderates, of any party, is palpable. His "glowing" tributes to President Bush while at the same time attacking Rumsfeld merely indicate, once again, how deeply committed he is to seducing those who hover around the "safety" of the middle.
McCain talks about sending more troops to Iraq, to please the hawks; and he continues to interfere with Administration's conduct of vital interrogation policies etc., to please the doves. I really can't listen to him.

Week after week, it's the same group of guests on these shows. Why don't the others show up and express their opinions?

"With a little... ahem... judicious editing, may I suggest that you send this in to the shows? Their contact information is on their web sites."
I fear that the only one who would show interest would be Brit Hume. Dan Rather is the only one of the others dumb enough to think he would stand a chance in that debate.

I am sticking it to the DBM, they deserve it. Too many uninformed voters get most or all of their info from what they consider "reputable sources" such as the letter nets and the msm papers. Nothing could be further from the truth.
We are their counter and dad by day they become more and more irrelevant. It's just not happening fast enough for me.But I am learning to be patient.

His opponent in the last election is the man that will replace him in 2008. This cycle, he is running for State Treasurer.
If the Upstate had not voted so heavily for Graham, Ravenel would have beaten him.
Here is his website. http://www.ravenel2006.com/biography/index.htm

The best way to stop McCain is to identify the best GOP alternative and get behind him or her. This Allen isn't it; he muffed the Macaca affair. Romney? Condi? Buchanan (ech)? Rummy (yeh!)? Swartzkoff? Ridge? Keyes? Kasich? Rudy?
Wiki has them ranked: Rudy-24%, Condi-21% and McCain-20%

Remember, you can only beat someone with somebody else, not just a phanton or ABL ("anyone but Lindsay"). Identify an up & comer and get behind him or her. Someone in Congress or State legislature, or a governor past or present.sound advice. Can anyone offer any advice who's familiar with South Carolina? We ought to be in a position to apply our collective resources to a question like this.

Just saw a teaser for the Spike Lee appearance. He asks how the RCMP from Vancouver got to New Orleans before the federal government. Spike unfortunately missed all of the Coasties saving all of those lives before anyone else was able to get their pants on. Go Coasties...and thanks again.
