Helicopter-borne Israeli commandos raided a Hezbollah stronghold in the Bekaa Valley early Saturday, setting off a fierce gun battle. Lebanon called the attack a "flagrant violation" of a fragile six-day-old cease-fire and threatened to halt troop deployments in protest.

Hezbollah, which battled the Israeli military for 33 days until the truce took hold Monday, said its fighters encountered the Israeli commandos in a field near the town of Boudai, about 20 miles from the Syrian border.

And what was those 10 Katyska rockets fired by Hezboallah the day after the cease fire was supposed to happen?

Is this the understandable version of this: Lebanon - Israeli aircraft strike targets in Bekaa Valley (Israel denies report)?

Kofi didn't call THAT a violation; ergo, it wasn't one to the MSM.

Clear? ;)

Ah, yes. Kofi the pimp. No money from the Islamic fascists if
Israel prevails.
It's time to give the U.N. the heave-ho over the side.

They were once a worthless organization, but anyone in the post-Oil for Profits for UN Members era who believes they are a nice little group to have around and they are no real harm, is on crack.

The UN is the world's largest Fifth Column.

Same story, without the liberal slant (Arab man on a prayer rug where a mosque was before it was bombed).

Sounds like another failed mission for the Israeli's. They lost a Lt. Colonel and Hizbullah responded immediately while only losing 3. Not a good tradeoff.

Barring the wholesale nuking of Iran (and possibly Syria, though I think sending Iran to 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit will scare even them), this will never end until Lebanon is occupied (yes, the whole thing). It's clear that they have no intention of policiing their border with Syria.

On another thread someone mentioned that amateurs study tactics while professionals study logistics. I can't help but wonder if some of that is what happened here -- Olmert not knowing anything about force sustainment in relation to what objectives are attainable. You can't attempt something like this without a comprehensive battle plan, and even then you have to get all your ducks in a row before executing it.
