PHOTO OF THE DAY: President Bush bows his head in prayer at the annual National Prayer Breakfast in Washington.

BELIEVE
lyrics from the Brooks & Dunn song

I can't quote the book
The chapter or the verse
You can't tell me it all ends
In a slow ride in a hearse
You know I'm more and more convinced
The longer that I live
Yeah, this can't be
No, this can't be
No, this can't be all there is

(Chorus) When I raise my hands, bow my head
I'm finding more and more truth in the words written in red
They tell me that there's more to this than just what I can see
I believe
Oh, I
I believe

With no new photos to show you, today's theme is Honor our Armed Forces.

At the National Naval Medical Center in Bethseda, Maryland, Aug. 1, 2006, President George W. Bush awards the Purple Heart to...

U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Edgardo Velazquez of Bronx, N.Y. Also pictured are his wife, Loureann, left, and nurse, Roselin Imarti.

U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Samuel Snyder of Parkersburg, W.Va.

U.S. Marine Corps. Maj. James Browning of Natchez, Miss., as his mother, Brenda, watches.

When this good man who is our President bows his head in prayer it's not for show. He means it and trusts the Lord to guide him.

One of my favorite B&D songs. They sing it with such sincerity.

Great pictures--THANKS! So many people are uncomfortable around sick/injured people, but the President sees the PERSON, not the tubes or equipment or injuries. It has to be very difficult to see and talk to injured soldiers who he, indirectly, sent into war.
