A Vermont woman whose bizarre behavior forced a Washington, D.C.-bound plan to make a dramatic landing in Boston yesterday was thought to be a diversion for a possible terrorist attack, according to an FBI affidavit released today. One of two male passengers - either a U.S. air marshal and a correction officer - whose help was solicited by the flight crew had become concerned that she might be acting as a diversion for a possible terrorist action, according to the affidavit. During the flight, Catherine Carse Mayo, 59, made reference to United Flight 93, one of the four planes hijacked in the September 11 attacks, urinated on the floor and told the captain shed been kicked off a flight in the United Arab Emirates for saying two words the flight crew believed to be Al Qaeda.

She needs some waterboarding therapy and tell us what she was really doing in Pakistan.

Diversionary Dry Run.
Just like the Syrian "musicians" incident a couple years ago.

She should have been thrown off the plane - at thirty thousand feet over the mid-Atlantic. God help the sharks.

The Syrian musicians taught them that sending a large group, as a group, didn't work.
So now they are trying the lone crazed approach.
The only thing that will work is profiling.
And in this case....any yo-yo with a visit to Pakistan should never be let on the plane.

Exactly. What a good way to find out what the marshals look like, where they sit, how the flight crew communicates etc. Hopefully she is under constant surveillance.

What would cause someone who is pathologically claustrophobic to buy a ticket to strap themselves into an aluminum tube for 8 hours with no possible means of escape? Sorry. I'm going with the brain-washed nut job approach. No pity here. I fly too many legs to have any pity.

The only reason the captain and/or co-pilot should have come out of the cockpit was to put the barrel of a gun to that b!tch's head and pulled the trigger.
A threat to the safe operation of an aircraft with terroristic comments and threats deserves nothing less.

Hopefully she is under constant surveillance. She doesn't have to be. All that was necessary is to have had a cohort on board watching everything that happened.

I emailed United and asked them if they were going to change their policy about pilots opening the cockpit door.
No answer yet.

I'm going with the brain-washed nut job approach. This woman and I are the same age 59. I was in Vietnam in my formative late-teenage years when I bet this, "nut job" as you call her was probably in a commune in Vermont smoking -- who-knows-what?
I've noticed that the MSN doesn't publish pictures of Jihadists because of the "racial nature of Islamofascists". We won't see a picture of her either because she probably can't focus her wild eyes that show the hate inside.

The more I hear about this wack-a-doo, the more convinced I am that she's somoeone's Useful Infidel. Rush touched on some of the early information about her yesterday, and it just keeps getting more bizarre with time.
Thank God the Air Marshall was sharp!

Let me say Thank you for your service.
We have no idea what this woman was doing at that time, but it was surely a far less noble endeavor than yours. I still go with nut job.
