So, what's the controversy? You got an Indian Indian with a modified Mohawk haircu working for a fascist Democrat, and somebody refers to him as Mr. Hohawk?
Hardly a big issue. The bigger issue is what is that Indian guy doing with Webb? Giving him swastikas, or what!

During an August campaign event, Senator Allen repeatedly used the word "macaca" in addressing a volunteer for the Webb campaign who was videotaping the event. "Macaca" is a word for "monkey" that can be used as a racial slur. Allen says his use of the word was careless but innocent. Stupid error on Allen's part. Hope it doesn't cost him the election since the media is having a political orgasm over it.

Good grief! Republican officials seem to be tripping over themselves to see who can make the stupidest remark when a microphone is around. If they do hold both houses in Congress this year, it'll be only because of the low caliber of the Democratic Party.

If Allen were ever to be taken seriously as a presidential candidate he would have to leave the senate first before the campaign. As pathetic a body as the American electorate has become, the senate still resides as the nation's most pathetic body and fortunately this nation won't elect one of it's top 100 minions as the leader of the free world, from either party.

It's a non-issue now, and it will be a non-issue come November. The media got what they wanted from a snap poll.

I am pretty media savvy and hip and even I had never heard of macaca until this incident. It won't matter.

This poll is from the same outfit that had Ned Lament leading by 20 points two weeks before the CT primary.

The moral of the story is, never call a macaca a macaca. It will screw up your political career in a hurry. Calling a person names has recently been classified as "torture" by the Federal courts. 'RATS are such wussies.

Allen says his use of the word was careless but innocent. Note to GOP candidates: don't use words you don't understand.
Democrats use any word you want; you won't be held accountable.

I could care less about this stupid media-hyped non-story. But the problem is Allen still isn't ready for prime time. He was never smooth enough on the shout shows. After 8 years of W, I want a candidate who can talk off the cuff without making me cringe.

People complain about PC crap, but never do anything about it. if Allen wants to be a leader, he needs to start leading.
He should have said he was sick and tired of people making a big deal out of a remark they are too stoopid to understand.

This kind of reminds me of the flack a while back over someone saying "niggardly" and getting fired, then rehired. I'm not sure if Mr. Allen even said it, and if he did, whether he knew it was a slur.
Whatever the press attack dogs can use, they will use.
