Now that so much more is known about this woman's identity, I am sure it will be in every story about this incident. Didn't see this posted anywhere else.

See what happens when you don't wear the tin-foil hat. The evil Bush brain wave machine got her.

Urinating in public is very unusual and suggest a level of dis-inhibition that 'barley lucid' would sum up. Probably quite a seriously unwell lady.

One correction to your title: She's not a Brit moonbat; she's a homegrown (VT) moonbat.

"She's got some very serious mental health problems," said Page Kelley, Mrs. Mayo's attorney, who described her client as "just barely lucid."
She is supposedly so mentally sick yet she was able to get to an airport, buy a ticket, board the correct flight, successfully create a disturbance on the plane and identify herself as a "peace activist".
I say lock her up for 10 years. 12 if she gives any lip about it.

I don't mean to be gross, but can human urine be used to create explosive compounds? Somebody here on FR knows, I'm sure.

All of her behavior seems consistent with that of the average peace protester.

A self-described peace activist..."She's got some very serious mental health problems," said Page Kelley, Mrs. Mayo's attorney
Those mental health problems run rampant through the peace activist community.

I don't know... "Barely Lucid" seems to fit most libs of her political persuasion.
I assume she was considered quite lucid by the MSM when she was a journalist bashing President Bush.

Wow, read the entire WASHINGTON TIMES article. That moonbat is certified nuts! How on earth did the airline even permit her to board the aircraft without a sraight-jacket?

Mrs. Mayo told passengers she was an undercover reporter testing security to see whether she could sneak restricted items on board. This is new, and surprisingly not mentioned in other media reports. Then again, if she is crazy, she must be a reporter...

It's amazing how so many people accept the spin that this woman is mentally ill. The true story may lie much deeper than first impressions. First impressions can sometimes be dangerous to personal and national security.
She may be a dingbat, a moonbat, or a 'Ratbat, but mentally ill? She hasn't been examined yet. She may be a wily convert to terrorism. She may be a clever courier. Who knows at this precise moment? Her history and contacts do not eliminate various possibilities.
Unfortunately, the next scenario is that the psychiatrists who will examine her are probably the real flakes. She'll most likely catch a break from them.

two passengers after she urinated in the aisle.....
I have been to the Subcontinent, and urinating where you please, is common over there, so she should be excused, for using the aircraft floor...this one of the great cultural aspects of a diversified society

Passengers initially assumed the men who restrained Mrs. Mayo were federal air marshals but yesterday said they were passengers recruited by flight attendants who provided them with handcuffs. Why do I always miss the fun?!

I've seen this behavior before on MSNBC at 7PM central time. It's a very advanced case of Bush Derangement Syndrome.

As a columnist for the Daily Times of Pakistan, Mrs. Mayo criticized President Bush -- calling him "a president not elected by the people"-- and the war in Iraq. "The folksongs of the 1960s will never be written again because of President George Bush. He has hampered the liberties of my country in the name of September 11. Songs now can only talk of patriotism they cannot mention peace," she wrote. What's her DUmmie screenname?
