SPIEGEL: Mr. Carter, in your new book you write that
only the American people can ensure that the US
government returns to the country's old moral
principles. Are you suggesting that the current US
administration of George W. Bush of acting immorally?
Carter: There's no doubt that this administration has
made a radical and unpressured departure from the basic
policies of all previous administrations including
those of both Republican and Democratic presidents.
SNIP.....
SPIEGEL: You also mentioned the hatred for the United
States throughout the Arab world which has ensued as a
result of the invasion of Iraq. Given this
circumstance, does it come as any surprise that
Washington's call for democracy in the Middle East has
been discredited?
Carter: No, as a matter of fact, the concerns I exposed
have gotten even worse now with the United States
supporting and encouraging Israel in its unjustified
attack on Lebanon.
SPIEGEL: But wasn't Israel the first to get attacked?
Jimmy, Your turning out to be an even worse EX-President than you were a president.

Jimmy Carter: The Untold Story
Let's be honest here: if James Earl went to the peanut farm in the sky, how long would people REALLY keep their TV sets tuned in?
He was an idealistic dunce, then an incompetent Chief Exec, now he's a traitorous nuisance.
Go away, Carter.
I think Repubs should broadcast Carter ad infinitum ad nauseum. He's clearly a whack job, but the problem for the Dems is that he says essentially the same things their shining stars say.
It would be great guerrilla theater, GOP campaign ads consisting of Carter running his mouth.
The Shah and his generals had to stand alone. This was after Jimmy (Hero of the Soviet Union)Carter cut their legs out from under them and gleefully ushered in the new age of Islamofacism.
Should be read multiple times. Carter is despicable.
If I live long enough, I will be able to P*SS on his grave after the consumption of several cans of (saved for that purpose) Billy Beer.
The only thing that came out of the Carter administration that was not all bad.
"We're surrounded. That simplifies our problem!"
[I had four years in the White House -- it was not a failure. For someone to serve as president of the United States you can't say it is a political failure.]
James Carter, make no mistake about it; YOU WERE A FAILURE IN THE WHITE HOUSE.
[We've never had an administration before that so overtly and clearly and consistently passed tax reform bills that were uniquely targeted to benefit the richest people in our country at the expense or the detriment of the working families of America.]
Perhaps Mr. Carter is too ignorant (or too arrogant) to notice that Bush's tax cuts made the tax code MORE PROGRESSIVE and that the largest benefits consistently went to those with the lower incomes.
Jimmy Peanuts is not only a failure, he is a proven traitor by his comments in Germany.
[Carter: I think I represent the vast majority of Democrats in this country.]
That's one thing in this interview that I agree with him on. And it's what makes me work so hard to convince as many people as possible to NOT vote for Democrats.
