Thanks, I had read that.
It makes me angry that some city lawyers are blocking access to the full tapes.
It has been five years. They couldn't have asked for the families consent in five years? They must have pretty slow dial phones.
Moreover, these tapes need to be released to the public to remind us of what our enemy (Islamic fascism) did to us.
While our enemies place snow white stuffed animals into propaganda photos of dust covered wreckage, and parade dead children around from photo to photo, we suppress the truth about what they did to Americans.
Where are those pictures from?
I agree with you that these voices need to be heard. I would want my voice on tape released, if I were dying in those towers.
I'm guessing that "without their families' consent" means that some, if not all, families insisted their loved ones' voices be bleeped out.
I do wonder how many people out there would use the voices and the last words of those who perished on 9/11 in a mean manner. Remember the "pranksters" calling the police and claiming they were trapped under the rubble on 9/11? And I wonder how the Islamofascists or even just the DUers would use those voices. So, there's a flip side to the story, too.
