McKinney rails against electronic voting

By KATE BRUMBACK, Associated Press Writer 21 minutes ago

Rep. Cynthia McKinney, in her first public appearance since losing her re-election bid last week, said Tuesday that the black community needs to oppose electronic voting machines, which she said are designed to steal elections.

McKinney also said the state of Georgia should not allow crossover voting among political parties in primary elections.

The fiery Democratic congresswoman who scuffled with a Capitol Hill police officer earlier this year and has accused the Bush administration of having advance knowledge of the Sept. 11 attacks said she considers herself a "black political paramedic," and the "black body politic is near comatose."

McKinney made the remarks during the National Dialogue and Revival for Social Justice in the Black Church. It was sponsored by the Rev. Al Sharpton's group, the National Action Network.

Last week, she lost her bid for a seventh term in Congress to challenger Hank Johnson, a former DeKalb County Commissioner. Johnson defeated McKinney 59 percent to 41 percent in the Democratic runoff.

After the runoff, McKinney blamed her defeat on the media and problems with electronic voting machines.

Poor Cynthia, seems like everyones out to get her. At least in her own mind she's a martyr.

I guess she objects the new "Relational On-line Voting Engine" (Model 2000) that is being used in the Red states.

What a loser....

She is but let her continue. It is much better for the liberal wacos to do this then when our guys do it. What a freaking embarrasment when Rossi had his little tantrum and cried because he lost. I don't mind democrats looking like fools, but I can't stand when conservatives do it. Thankfully Rossi is a RINO anyway.

"Yes. We Jews control the voting machines, Cynthia. We control the voting. We control the world banks and media. We control the rotation of the Earth. We control the solar system! You are OURS!"

She already KNOWS THAT!

"that the black community needs to oppose electronic voting machines"
But the guy who won was......black. Worked out pretty good for him, didn't it.
She really is awesome.

Frankly, she could have done the GOP a lot of good in Congress. She is SO crazy that the Dem leadership MUST be breathing a giant sigh of relief.

I'm amazed that this country has survived 217 years.

I'm a student of American history and throughout that period, we've been misgoverned because so many of the people in Washington were just about as bad as McKinney.
Either ignorant, stupid, incompetent or out-and-out corrupt.

Leads to the conclusion that someone is watchin' over us.

I despise McKinney as much as anyone, and am hoping that she won't ever rise, zombie-like, ever again, but electronic voting is a bad idea. It is too prone to hack attempts and other shenanigans, leaving no physical record against which it can be legitimized (is that a word?).

Another consideration is that our voting machines are to be programmed in Chavez's Venezuela. Electronic voting makes it too easy for Democrats to try to steal an election. The harping they do about Commander in Chief, Bush stole the election, etc., is projection because they have these tendencies. Let's not make it easy for them to act on those tendencies.
