Opposition leader MK Binyamin Netanyahu (Likud) told the Knesset that "unfortunately, there will be another round [in this war] because the government's just demands weren't met" by the cease-fire agreement that went into effect Monday morning.
"The [kidnapped] soldiers weren't returned home, the Hizbullah was not disarmed … Right now, we are [merely] in an interim period between wars," Netanyahu warned. "And there is no one who will prevent our enemies from rearmed and preparing for the next round."
I will leave it at that. Just watch the threads a bit and see how folks that criticize anything Bush/GOP are treated. Even if the folks doing the critiques are/were ardent Bush/GOP supporters.
PC speak isn't only a Democrat/Liberal ideology it seems.

Considering their defenses were innocent civilians who hizzzzbullah HOPED would die thus garnering world support, the armaments used (next to apartments, houses etc.) wouldn't have lasted a week.
If the Israelis didn't care about civilian deaths, hizzzzzzbullah would have been wiped off the map within a week. IMHO

The really unreal strategy of waiting until the announcement of the coming ceasefire before beginning the ground offensive could not help but affect the morale of those troops who were shoved across the border in the knowledge that the objectives of the war would not and could not be accomplished.

The one and only positive thing that I see potentially coming from the last few weeks of conflict is the realization in Israel that they cannot negotiate or deal with the Pallies or with Hezbollah/Syria/Iran - because they want only to destroy Israel and murder its citizens - and that therefore those who argue in favor of doing such things must be removed from office.
This temporary truce - because it is not in any way a settlement or a long-term solution to ANY problem - will give Israelis a chance to reassess their most recent election results, and to toss out the weak, vision-less, appeasing, self-hating Jews who have come to power there.
Bibi has his own problems, but I am quite certain that faced with a crisis like this one, he'd have made a full effort from the start to destroy Hezbollah, not a half-assed attempt to do so 4 weeks later while there was a truce coming a few days later. Also, under Netanyahu Syria might now be a smoking ruin, which would have helped to give Israel a few years of being left alone.
I didn't want to be the first to specifically say so, but the tone with the join date seemed to suggest what you say. Also, given he/she didn't start this but joined in, there might be the agent provocateur angle: someone here not to start arguments but to embroil and confuse them.

IDF preparing to release reserves soldiers
The IDF is preparing to release by this weekend some of the reserves soldiers called up in recent weeks. Additional reserves soldiers will be released from duty next week.
Northern Command's chief of staff, Brig. Gen. Alon Friedman said that "Reserves forces will be released in the first phase, and soldiers in compulsory service will remain until the end of IDF missions." (Hanan Greenberg)
I am an ardent Bush/GOP supporter.
I have been a relentless and merciless critic of Bush and the GOP on matters of spending, immigration and islam.
I have never received even a hint of reproach or warnings from the owner and admins of the site which is what counts.
Other members of the forum? They are just as free to voice their criticisms and opinions, stupid and ignorant though they may be, as you are.

If elections were held today, Kadima would deservedly cease to exist in any meaningful form.
I hope the "rethinking" Israelis will decide to win the war rather than engage in PC skirmishes with the terrorists.
