A dress rehearsal for the American intafada?
Wonder if the media would've aired that beheading video?
JFK's exploding head can be seen on tv, we can see bodies in Lebanon, but forget about ever seeing a dead American while there's a threat.
This is the sort of "noise" I've been noticing. Here in NYC, I've either seen or heard of instances where people will insist upon praying, in broad daylight in absolutely the most crowded places (floor of commodities exchange, busy streetcorner 1 block from Ground Zero, middle of Grand Central at rush hour), toward Mecca.
Well, let me clarify. They insist upon throwing down a rug at some odd angle to the rest of the world and kneeling down. It is obviously meant to look like prayer, but I don't think it is that so much as it is a show. But it's right in-your-face, in the very city they attacked 5 years ago.
They're acting out, louder and louder, and everyone knows that an increase in "noise" or "chatter" indicates that something is cooking.
