The Lebanese government was scheduled to meet on Sunday to discuss the disarming of Hizbullah south of the Litani River, but postponed that meeting following indications by the guerrilla group that they would not do so.
Hizbullah's refusal was conveyed to Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Saniora through the group's representative in the Lebanese parliament, Nabih Berri.

Captain's Quarters via Pajama Media is reporting:
Captain's Quarter'sPajama Media
UPDATE: Pajamas Media reports that the Lebanese Cabinet got flummoxed by Israel's agreement to UNSCR 1701:
The cabinet then gave themselves 24 hours. They were hoping that the Israeli Cabinet would oppose UN Resolution 1701. Then they would blame it on the Israelis. But when the Israeli Cabinet agreed they decided to postpone todays emergency cabinet meeting to avoid further internal clashes.
In sum, as Lebanese we are looking and and suffering under a disgusting match of empty rhetoric bathed in lies and hypocrisies. God Help us for these leaders and politicians.

Why would Hezbollah agree to it? Even if they did, none of the other resolutions were enforced, anyhow. The best thing that could happen is for the Israeli citizens to demand a real offensive and decisive victory from their leadership.

One good thing is this confirms how many Marines are always on duty around here or how many TV shutins we have here. . ;-)

So the only reason for the UN troops to show up is to provide target practice for the Hezbollah snipers?
The Lebanese army won't be much of an intermediary between the Israelis and Hezbollahs. Their loyalties may lie more on the side of Hezbollah than any international standard for "fairness" (although at times pleading the case for Hezbollah IS the international standard for "fairness").

So does this mean that the Israelis must still disarm and leave S lebenon? Where is Bibi when he's needed?

What is a resolution to an islamicfacist?........It mean they can do just what they want to do, rearm, resupply, recruit and train hezzbolah fighters as fast as they can. A un resolution means absolutely NOTHING to them.

Wow, that was quicker than I expected. Iran must've sent the resupply of Katyusha rockets via FedEx Priority Overnight.

"...They were hoping that the Israeli Cabinet would oppose UN Resolution 1701."And there I was, wondering how and why the Knesset voted for it unanimously, GO ISRAEL!
