His nose looks different, than the one in the paper.

Sam! My favorite beers...
So I guess the intent of this picture is to show the Cuban people that not only is Castro healthy, but he's taken up jogging as well
Naw, he's just going to la groceria

There seems to be nothing in that newspaper article that could verify the date. It could have been printed way ahead of time just in the normal course of printng schedules.

If this is real, he hasn't aged much in the past four years.
Bingo! He looks younger and more tanned in the alleged after surgery photo than the one with Jimmuh in 2002.
Fishy...for sure.

I think that the article was written in advance, maybe years before, and they took a picture of Fidel holding a proof copy so that when he died they could release the picture, while having the article printed in Granma the same day as "proof" that Fidel was alive. Someone in the process forgot to make sure that the headline color in the proof and in Granma matched, and hopefully the consequences will be far reaching because of this little blunder.

If you wanted to convince your country (and the world) that you're still alive, you'd be pictured with the actual newspaper (one would think, anyway).Or at least be on a video. Why wouldn't they show a video of him on Cuban TV, if he looked as well as he does in that pic?
