WELL said Westpole! Bravo!
As for Brian Williams, I think that picture of the GI and the coffee cup with the caption "How about rooting for OUR side for a change, you liberal moron!?!?" says it all!

Comparing American patriots willing to fight and die for their country and Islamic terrorists who intentionally target innocent civilians in hopes of hanging out with virgins in the afterlife is vile beyond description. Williams is a moral relativist piece of excrement.

He did the same thing right after 9-11. He has some queer need to find some sort of moral equivilence between us and them.
Real easy Mr Williams to see the difference. Our guys fight them that shoot back. Terrorirists try to avoid those guys and attack the defenseless and the weak

The false moral equivalence is one of the mainstays of liberal thought. Of couse a moral leper like Brian Williams would say such a thing.
The shame is that we allow him to remain in his job.

I'm not sure he directly made the comparison but stated his point rather unartful. News Readers should not deviate from prepared completely vetted scripts.

From now on, just read the cue-cards, Ken-doll.

He may not have made himself very clear, but it's obvious from context that he was NOT implying some sort of moral equivalence between terrorists and American military & emergency workers. This is a molehill.

Cutting off the end of his statement made it appear that he was saying something different from what he actually said. What he said was awkward but not worse than that.

When you say we have guys like that "too", willing to "take" their lives Exactly...Many Americans are willing to "give" their life in defense of our freedoms but it is the terrorist who is willing to "take" his life for their fanatical beliefs.
Williams is not willing to take responsibility for his statement.

Brian Williams has yet to explain why his first thought to the question was to equate US soldiers to terrorists. I don't understand why he would make that kind of comparison unless he thinks there is a moral equivalency.

How about including George Washington and the Continental Army, just for kicks?

1. a U.S. Navy SEAL.
2. An Army Ranger.
3. Brian Williams.

Brian Williams is a brainless, light weight idiot.
It's not his fault he can't think clearly.
He was just born that way.
Stopped listening to his program long ago.

Mr. Williams was speaking well of our side not dissing it. This whole epsiode just goes to show how people spin things into stupidity. I saw the show. I understood what he said. He has NO reason to apologise.
