Bye-bye, Joe: now Hillary’s the target
The Sunday Times (UK) ^ | August 13, 2006 | Sarah Baxter

THE defeat of Joe Lieberman, the most hawkish senator in the Democratic party, by an anti-war political novice in a primary election in Connecticut last week was a spectacular coup for the “netroots”: the grassroots, anti-establishment, anti-war left that had mobilised opposition on the internet to the political grandee.

The same activists are now seeking to bend Senator Hillary Clinton to their anti-war side or face defeat in the Democratic presidential primaries. Her supporters are concerned that the “jihadist” left, galvanised by the victory of East Coast millionaire Ned Lamont, are on the rise in the Democratic party, starkly affecting its national electoral prospects.

Mike McCurry, White House press secretary during Bill Clinton’s presidency, said: “The very idea of centrism is under attack now in the party. We have our own loony left too.”

Looks like the Witch is going to find it harder and harder to conceal her Marxist roots, and doesn't like that fact.

Unlike Joe, Hillary has no chance to win as an independent.

If the loons on the left keep it up, she has no chance being reelected to her Senate seat either.

If her shoes become too uncomfortable, she'll have to come out of the closet to give her credibility with the left. Look for an "I am a proud bisexual" moment with a few tears.

That's her REAL problem...she's looking at the polls and making Iraq "THEE ISSUE".

All the other issues fall to the wayside. Their tactic has been to "pick up votes" by appealing to EVERY group possible. The female vote, the vote that got Bubba elected, probably will be her biggest letdown. She could lose the election by a SERIES & HUGH margin, subjecting herself to a gross embarrassment.

Don't forget, if Hillary wasn't married to Bubba, we'd all be saying: Hillary Who??

Why doesn't she just fess up and tell everyone she is a Marxist? It certainly exist enough in her history. She might as well tell everyone life would be hell except for her and her favored few of the moment if she ever became President or any other office. Why won't she release her college thesus? Gosh, there are so many questions, where does one begin? The main point is she is evil and sick and we would be getting her rapist husband to boot. Is this really what America needs or wants? I say no.

"Centrist" Hillary LOL!

You can't make this stuff up- unless you're in the media, then you do it every day.

The former first lady, whose strategy for winning the presidency in 2008 has been based on persuading fooling the electorate she is a genuine moderate and tough on national security, is watching her back warily.

ROTFL. She has baggage the size of a Humvee on these two points. Hillarycare-Hillarycare-Hillarycare.

As regards national security, IMO, if you don't support Israel 100% right now, you aren't strong on NS. If you consider Jews to be voters to be pandered to, but slurred behind closed doors, there is not much credibility there.

Hillary Rodham -- then Bill Clinton's girlfriend -- called adviser Paul Fray a "Jew bastard" to his face on election night.

Bye Bye Joe??? He is leading the race now.

Hillary will change her position when she and Soros thinks the time is right for to help her 2008 coup attempt, I mean election.

As is usual with Democrat "strategery" events seem be rapidly overtaking their rhetoric. On the one hand the Democrats are talking how the "Battle of Iraq" is harming our ability to protect out homeland from terrorists and on the other Bush gets an 11 point bump in the polls on the very same issue.

Dare I hope we see more of the same?

With his knack for providing crude but effective ideological clarity, Vice-President Dick Cheney warned last week that Lieberman’s defeat would encourage “Al-Qaeda” types.
