The "sane" supporters of Hillary see her deceptions re Iraq as not only clever political strategy, but as a sign that she is practical in addition to being good-- it's a sign of her "nuance".
And that's just as she wants it, isn't it? I.e., it avoids the qustion: Would she have deposed Saddam?
You'll have to read the RELIABLE SOURCES transcript to believe it. Arrianna Huffington accuses a CNN reporter of calling Lamont something like, "the Hezzbolah candidate", or "friend of terrorist", I can't remember exactly which libelous name she gave the reporter. Howard Kurtz corrected her by telling her, "the reporter said specifically, "many are calling Lamont that, he didn't say it himself". Huffington went off on Kurtz, telling him that reporter should name those who call him that.
My description dooesn't do the exchange justice, be sure and read the transcript when it's posted.

It's really good to hear CNN get blasted for biased reporting, by the likes of Aarriannna Huffington!
Considering the TSA folks at Newark Liberty Airport barely speak english I'd say that any questioning would be counterproductive and a big waste if time.
All of the Democrats were spouting this today, Dean, Feingold, Lamont, Reich, etc. I didn't hear Reed or Harman, but I bet you they pushed this line, too. Howie Kurtz also pushed it on his Reliable Sources by asking his guests if reporters have a duty to point out that the war in Iraq is not part of the war on terror.
They were also all pushing the notion that the UK plane bombing plot was a police matter and that the war in Iraq was a distraction from the real fight against terrorism.
The talking point faxes went out late last night, I'm sure.
Thanks for posting the synposis. About the time Johnson came on the show we had friends walk in from next door. I missed the segment and am a bit pi**ed.
Thanks again.
They said Chertoff said he Typed his own address on his own secure computer hence there was no leaking. Some of the media snickered. (Sad, huh)
Bet Chertoff had tags on everyone at the meeting, too.
Chertoff appears to be a Big "behaviourist" as well as having "good instincts".
My final thoughts on the plane thing:
The problem was the ingredients A and B and C getting together. The dudes are C,D & E.
The solution was: Take A, B & C away from everyone in case there's a F, G, H, I, J, K etc..
Kinda like what we do with kids if they're going to hit their siblings over the head with a baseball bat. Take the bats away and then deal with the kid himself.
ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!
It just seemed, to me, that Gregory was not listening to the answer at all, but was already thinking and reading ahead to the next question.
In 1995, Newt was on Rush's show, and they were talking about conversing, when Newt came out with the gem "The absence of speaking is not listening".
He expounded on this, by saying " Most people in the news are more worried about the next question they are going to ask, that they don't listen to the answer to the question that they just asked.
No problem. I usually miss Realiable Sources, but they do usually have the transcript up a couple of days later

You don't get the tone or how the people handled themselves, but at least you can check out what they said (so long as you trust the transcript).
Thats the same Clinton thinking that brought us 9-11. Are the police going to into Afghanistan in the winter and hump it over the mountains? The Horn of Africa? The jungles of Indonesia and the Philipines??
If they wanted to communicate then why would they throw away the other components like the charger base. It sounds to me and most everyone else that the Trac phones are to be one time use as in a detonation.
Did either of you catch Fineman making that statement that the Republicans have to make the situation of the other day seem more threatening than it actually is?
I'm wondering 1. IF I heard that correctly and 2. How much more threatening does it need to be?
Excellent posts, I'm not around alot for the Sun thread simply because I can no longer tolerate the shows themselves, but the posters on FR are great.
Who's the father? Eddie Albert? I heard "Mr." Huffington was light in the loafers. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
#325, it makes sense if you get stopped with a trac phone with no battery/charger with you then you will not be held for suspicion on anything. You can have another partner in crime have a battery power pack in his carry-on luggage and then get together on the Plane. Remember that they are not letting people on these planes now with much of anything. Just thinking out loud right now about this, sometimes the little tidbits go a very long way to solving the big crimes.
I didn't know they did that with a transcript and will have to check it out. I wish they were like MSNBC and put a stream up about 1PM Sundays after the show.
MTP and FNS air at the same time where I live, 9:00AM EST and I usually watch FNS and the stream off the net for MTP. Today I was more interested in the Chertoff segment of MTP and will watch FNS in it's entirety on their replay this afternoon on FOX.
Entirely too much to watch on Sunday anyway and now I've got to check out the road race on NASCAR, chicken for the grill along with fresh corn in the husk, green beans and the trimmings.
Are you listening Snugs? Snugs occasionally posts her evening meal menu and my mouth begins to water. I'm ahead of her today. :)
My spider senses are tingling, too. Something is up. Do not forget that cell phones can be used to remotely detonate explosives, that is, to trigger an IED. Imagine thousands of IEDs going off all over this country, Canada, Australia, Europe, all on the same day?
The Islamifascists are stupid to believe this would make us back off, instead of going for their collective throats and hineys.
#334,very funny.... Did I hear someone repeating really stupid things that Howeird Dean was saying earlier today? Things like Saddam had no planes. I did not see this myself, but if the retelling of his diatribe is true then what the Hell did we need a no-fly Zone in Iraq for? Pigeon Crap? Errant Kites?
My response. "Of course he is Lisa!" "You people blame him for everything and credit him with nothing, HE has to go do the job you people are SUPPOSE to be doing.""
What really bugged me is that, in response to a question about Joe Lieberman's stance on the Iraq war, Feingold kept saying "he just doesn't get it, they just don't get it."
What a maroon.
