I posted this over at my blog.  I have no evidence to date that anyone reads it, but who knows?

Alas Babylon! has posted his "best of the web" (IMHO) live thread for the Sunday Morning Talk Shows.  That thread provides a live commentary and analysis of the Sunday talking head shows, with rare insight and exceptional fact checking.

We have been called the "Jedi Council" of FreeRepublic (OK, we came up with that ourselves, but it's a good one!), at least in regards to these DBM gabfests.  If you want to know what was said and what it meant, as well as where they messed up?  Read that thread!  It's great for when you have to miss a show or simply can't stand listening to some of the people blather on.  There's at least one brave soul who will watch each show and report back for those who didn't see one or another of them.

In programming isn't this known as a circular reference?

Dean: we should have gotten rid of the Taliban once and for all...

Is he suggesting we should have invaded Pakistan? Somehow I doubt his fortitude for that.

New York Post ^ | August 13, 2006
British cops investigating the airline bomb plot have reportedly found scores of bottles that had been filled with the components for liquid chemical bombs in outdoor garbage bins. The bottles contained liquids including peroxide, which can trigger an explosion when mixed with other chemicals and ignited with a small spark, Britain's News of the World reported today. The newspaper also reported authorities had uncovered 30 other radical Islamist murder plots - and that among the airline bomb-plot suspects were a mom-and-dad suicide couple who planned to take their baby with them on the mission. Eight of the suspects are believed...

Mehlman: If you listen to what the terrorists say, their goal is to drive America out of the ME and launch terrorist attacks from a new base.

Why have the Democrats voted against the Patriot Act, against Missile Defense, against the Surveillance Programs?

The party of Pelosi and Dean is a pre 9/11 mindset.

Gregory: The Vice Chair of the Senate Intel Committee, Rockefeller, says that policies of the past 5 years have inflamed extremism.

Mehlman: I'd tell Rockfeller to tell that to the families who lost loved ones in 1993 WTC bombing, Mogadishu, East African bombings, the bombing of the Cole, etc.

The fundamental question American have to answer: Do you believe we're at war.

Dean can't even talk by himself and make sense. He's a mishmash of thoughts ....and none of them are clear....he can't appear with someone else...they massacre him.

Mehlman answers a question beautifully about NK and other places - if we can't watch/listen to people and can't use missile defense, how are the democrats going to do a better job than Republicans protecting America?

Dogs and kids. Don't want yours anywhere touching my body unless I ask for it.

I understand completely. My dog lives in my home 24/7, my kid used to live in my home 24/7. You would be considered a welcome visitor, at least once.

:).......Now back to the thread.

Once again...DEan and the Dems have NO Plan.

Dean is afraid of Melman. Dean is just soooo angry, it just comes across ..he is not that smart and is very angry.

Both FTN and FNS web pages show Lamont still on the schedule. I'm betting Lamont is hoping his base won't know about the FNS appearance and he can start maneuvering away from the extreme left for the general election. But if his base notices it he's a dead man. Literally.

Chertoff on MTP.

Chertoff is listed on every show this morning.  I'd call that the Grand Slam.

Dean can't even talk by himself and make sense.

That's a symptom of what Rush calls the "How can we fool 'em today" syndrome. Dems KNOW they cannot say what they truly believe. It's all cooked up in focus groups and consultant meetings.

And the media knows this. There's no better example than their letting Kerry et al get away with saying they "changed their mind" about their vote for the Iraq war. Everyone knows they opposed the war from the beginning...they just didn't have the cajones to vote their convictions. The media continues to let Hillary play that ruse, praising her for "hugging the middle", all the while knowing she's anti-war and would never have deposed Saddam.

Yet, I continue to be surprised that a majority of voters seem to understand it. Despite the entire media conglomerate covering for them, most Americans understand that Dems are just saying what they must in order to remain viable. Problem is: It's all just the 1970's playbook wrapped up to look more "robust". Anti-war, Anti-American exceptionalism, anti-God, and just downright disdainful of manners, tradition, protocol and respectability. Then look at what they claim about the GOP: racism, theocrats, war-mongers, corrupt. At the DNC it's still 1972.

Chertoff is on MTP (right now, here, as a matter of fact) and is listed first in ABs notation for MTP. He only put the last name so you may have missed it.

Is that what you were saying? That he wasn't on MTP?

Notice the message to so-called journalists? The more disrespectful you are to those in power, denigrating to the office of the President, the more your career improves.

Mehlman did a fabulous job of laying out the issues and the choices, as he always does.

Gregory is about 10 ft tall, I suspect he's taller while sitting too. But I do notice, Chertoff is having to look upward to look in Gregory's face.

Even with my very low opinion of David Gregory, I would have to agree with you. I had no idea what a relief NOT seeing Timmy would be.
