When muslim dudes took over planes, we didn't start ethnic profiling, we simply started searching everyone.

When muslim dudes started buying up phones, we didn't start ethic profiling, we simply started calling for such phones to be banned.

You see?

We aren't simply eager to protect multiculturalism --I suspect we will soon be DYING to protect multiculturalism.

What is the OBVIOUS solution?

I don't know if it is possible to use battery materials to make any kind of explosive, but it is almost certainly easier and cheaper to use common chemicals.

The batteries could be useful for powering things, the innards could be useful for blowing up things. The whole phone is the most useful device.

Regarding the battery removal: Perhaps they removed the batteries to ensure none of the phones could be accidentally turned on and traced.

Your map is a good piece of work. Post it to some other sites. Send it to the Gman, Ann C., some other columnists, WorldNetDaily, CWA, etc. Put some references under it and keep it updated.

Thanks,

Monterrosa

Your point is well taken. Responsibility? Please try teaching that today to all the victims.

The batteries aren't even in the phones while in the packages. There are only a few plausible reasons why buying up TracPhones is useful:

1- They are making a profit from selling TracPhones to people here in North America. The phones won't work elsewhere. Doubtful at best.

2- They are using these phones as untraceable, throw-away phones for one single conversation. No names, no questions.

3- They are using the phones or components to detonate explosives from a safe distance. This is my wager.

This morning's maps updated with the news of the Mackinac plot exposed. (Cell phone arrests revealed an alleged plot.) And an updated world map.

Will continue to update.

"This might be a situation of dishonest arbitrageurs understanding that the value of the parts is greater than the cost of buying a Tracphone - sell the batteries in bulk to meth lab owners (which they can't get in bulk at Wal*Mart); the phones in bulk to organized crime and terrorists, who don't really need new batteries, just new phones (which they can't get in bulk at Wal*Mart or most places without getting on camera)'

Then why are all of the purchasers Muslim men?

If they were being sold to meth labs and organized crime, wouldn't we see young and old hustlers of all races trying to make a quick buck?

Not all of the purchasers are Muslim men. Two men from the former Soviet Republic of Georgia were arrested buying a bunch of phones in Pennsylvania, for example. Most Georgians are Christian.

Some terrorist groups are involved in the drug trade, too.

Batteries in to bombs, not really. But they have been used to make remote detonators before. Someone from anywhere in the world can simply call the phone that is being used as the detonator.
