The FBI, Homeland Security and police are investigating a suspicious purchase of cell phones at a Wal-Mart in Caro, Mich.

Three men were arrested Friday on suspicion of buying more than 1,000 cell pones, Local 4 reported.

The Nokia Tracfones cost about $20, and customers receive a phone plus 40 minutes of airtime. Also, the phones do not have to be registered to a name, the station reported. These are the same type of phones connected to terror charges against two Dearborn men arrested in Ohio, according to the station's report.

I wouldn't say the entire State of Michigan. Just the Clymers that know they can hide in tens of thousands of honest, hard working immigrants.

Ya think!? LOL

Now, the reason I don't get to be a talk show host is... remember the start of Ghostbusters, when Bill Murray is doing his 'ESP experiment' w/ the chick & the guy? He keeps zapping the guy (even tho the guy's answers are 100% correct :) w/ electricity. That's what I'd like to do to most yayhoo talking heads, and yell 'Wrong answer!' each time ;>)

Guess that's why I don't get to be a host.

Clearly they intended to conceal themselves as purchasers. Why?

If they were driven by profits they would buy them wholesale and not have the expense of all the travel and time.

If they were reselling them locally they wouldn't destroy the packaging.

Obviously the intended end-user didn't want packaging or batteries. The only remaining value would be the unique "signature" of the phones. If an end-user had a number of them, they could use them randomly, switching a single battery around and remain fairly untraceable and anonymous. This would only be useful to people making calls, not receiving them.

The batteries could be sold to recover some of the cost, that's all.

Clearly they were surrepticiously creating a concealable means of communication for a large number of networked muslim people.

Hmmmmmmm. People like the leaders of al Qaeda or Hezbollah!

I saw something obvious about how to get them. I was about to post it, but decided against. Maybe I'll tell someone.

... in the govt. They probably know about it, but if they decide to be proactive, instaed of reactive, they could do a sting. Have to go now. Back later.

Been wanting to find the right post to use this quote:

"Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both."

Thank you Mr. Franklin. Funny/sad how many "conservatives" are willing to sign over control of their lives to a strong central government to gain some illusionary safety.

And you know that if a liberal were in the Oval Office they'd be screaming now. A bad idea is a bad idea even if it comes from supposed conservatives.

A globally coordinated terrorist plot may have made its way through one quiet mid-Michigan town, Tuscola County prosecutors allege.

Their target: The Mackinac Bridge.

Tuscola’s courthouse — a “Mon-Fri” sign staked the front lawn of the ivory-colored entrance — opened Saturday because the alleged plot’s “serious nature” to arraign three Dallas, Texas, men authorities believe collected cell phones to use in an attack on the iconic bridge that connects Michigan’s penninsulas.

Local prosecutors charged brothers Adham Abdelhamid Othman, 21, and Louai Abdelhamied Othman, 23, along with their cousin, Maruan Awad Muhareb, 18, with identical counts of collecting material to support terrorist acts and surveillance of a vulnerable target with intent to committ terrorism.

"a specific chip"

As in.... the SIM chip?

Do a search on 'hacking SIM chips' on ask.com for more info.

Because of the seriousness of terrorism, we are planning a boycott against CBS and its advertisers if it gives airtime to the terrorist dictator of Iran on Sunday.

We believe it is wrong for the following reasons: He still threatens to kill all Americans and Jews; he violates his own citizen's human rights; he refuses UN resolutions to stop his nuke program; we are in a war on terror, and do not need to add fuel to the fire, having undiscerning minds influenced by him.

Please contact CBS nationally and locally. The advertisers should be notified, and allowed to pull out.

Here is a link of the 39 CBS TV Stations http://www.cbstvdmg.com/affiliates The Los Angeles CBS affiliates cover over 38 million homes.

For the national advertising

If you doubt boycotts work, follow the objections and answers in this current thread:

Please spread the word!
