Glad to see the Democrats are the party of new ideas this election cycle.
The next best thing to Ronald Reagan, that ever happened to the Republican party (and therefore the nation), was the election of Bill Clinton in 1992 and 1996.
Even now his and his wifes mystical power over the Dems. has kept any leader from gaining influence over the party (yet they themselves deliver no real leadership).
Their self serving dominance, has only allowed small, niche leaders to emerge, cutting up the Dem. focus and energies.
What new ideas? That slogan was from a fellow Freeper
They are not just unhinged, they are PC lunatics......
Shhh. Bill Clinton was a Karl Rove plant, and pretty much succeeded in his mission of destroying the 'rat Party. Why do you think Bush I and Dole put on such weak campaigns? O why Bush I and BJC are such pals? Of course, some credit has also to go to the little Texan with the big ears.....
I can't understand the Dems. They steal our material six years later and expect--what exactly? That people won't vote for Joe because he's sore about narrowly losing in the primary? I've always been wary about underestimating an enemy, but the Dems are just nuts.
Sometimes I watch the Democrats and the Republicans and think maybe the best thing the terrorists could do is blow up the Congress while it is in session. How can so many be so corrupt, so stupid, so vain and so incompetant? Why can't we find good citizens who will can leave their egos at the door and just get down to solving problems without all the political warfare?
A Democrat wins 52% of the vote=overwhelming victory
A Republican (George W. Bush) wins 52% of the vote=barely victory
I was referring to Lamont's recent primary win. True, no Democrat since Carter got more than 50% at the Presidential level.
"Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely." Lord Acton
How pathetic have the Republicans become that their most powerful weapon is pointing out how deranged the Democrats have become?
Please explain how eight years of Clinton was good for the country.
We will pick up a net 2, 3, or 4 in the House and stay even or plus one in the Senate.
In 1992 we were a nation that Democrats ran, with occasional Republican Presidents.
Clinton, being an amoral president hurt the country, but in the long run helped it by largely destroying the Democrat party, and the Feminist organization.
