Military service is a privledge, not a right.

It should be a DUTY! Those who do not serve should HONOR those who do. Love of COUNTRY should inspire all to do their part.

Back down off of the soap box now; don't ask-don't tell is fine with me. If a homosexual can keep his perversion to himself and his behavior meets the required standards he'll have no problems. The queers in question are just trying to make a political point.

"Do ask, do tell, do dishonorably discharge."

With gays in the military, the term "discharge" takes on a whole new, far more sickening, meaning.

Watch how quickly these folks shut the hell up, if a draft is ever seriously in the running.

Actually no. I was shot at in Iraq as a contractor. I've never lost a job due to getting "out-pointed" by a vet.

I do think that we are creating another series of entitlements that never end. Fiscally speaking, that's a bad idea.

I would agree that a retiree should have those 10 points as they have been working at below market wages for 20+ years and could use a playing-field leveller. A 2 year infantry enlistee shouldn't be able to qualify for that bonus, by my estimation.

"I'm in the army and I'm gay!
That don't mean I swish and sway!
I won't go down on anyone!

They wouldn't make it that far. A couple of days in the motivational platoon at Parris Island would bring their fondness for military life to a close.

There was a young soldier named Pete
Who minced as marched down the street.
..He wore boots of bright red
..And playfully said,
'I may not be thtrong, but I'm thweet.'

How about straight to Iraq. That they would waste the Military's time; diverting attention; resources to enhance their agenda is disgusting.

An openly gay person would not last long in any combat arms MOS. Nobody wants a gay person watching their back in a foxhole. In Basic, JRTC, NTC, and most other military training facilities, there are open showers, and many times open stalls. It is free porn for a homo. Do we have to set aside a special gay area for these people? I don't think so.

Ummm...........why do they really care? Wanna get their candy asses blown up or something, or just can't STAND anyone not embracing them (ahem) and their agenda? Gee, I wonder......

I agree, and would have no problem with that. As long asd they were lumped together, NOT with the real soldiers. It's probably not very easy to be a deserter in the sandbox....

I don't mind th echallenge to "don't ask don't tell" That
FRAUD was instituted by Mr.Billrun for the Border Clintoon.
Do very much mind the so called Military mindset that encourages and looks forward to a day when the US Military
turns completely from the original intent as reflected in
the General Orders issued by George Washington calling for
"punctual attendence at Divine Services(July4,1775)
"strictly enjoined on all Officers and soldiers to attend
Divine Service (July20,1775) -- "the General hopes and
trusts that every Officer and man, will endeavor so to live and act as becomes a Christian Soldier..." (July 9,1776)And
the courtmartial for Sodomy as with Lieutt. Enslin(10 March
1778) would cease and our military be more like the Brits.
Whose salute suggests defeat in battle.

If they are rebuffed, the activists plan to stage sit-ins at the offices . . .

If they aren’t rebuffed, good luck with sit-ins when some order doesn’t suit them.

I'm all for sending gays into the front lines of battle but not necessarily in favor of bringing them home from the battle.

Besides you always want them on the front and not in the rear............

;-)

The military should accept them & ship them off to Iraq Iran.

Try that one.
