51% of Democrats Succumb to BDS

Friday, August 11, 2006 51% of Democrats Succumb to BDS Posted by Hugh Hewitt | 9:50 AM

(DEAN BARNETT HERE)

The latest FoxNews poll offers the typically dismal results we’ve come to expect. Bush’s approval holds in the 30’s, and Congress is less popular than I was in junior high school.

But the poll also offers this stunning and revealing nugget. Fox asked, “Regardless of how you voted in the presidential election, would you say you want President Bush to succeed or not?” 51% of Democrats answered “No” to that question. 40% answered yes, and 9%, who are still apparently trying to determine just how deranged they are by their Bush hatred, answered “I don’t know.”

The depths to which the modern Democratic Party have sunk never lose their ability to shock me. In the 1990’s, I couldn’t stand Bill Clinton but I didn’t root for him to fail. From a purely selfish standpoint, I owned a business and owned stocks; the economy going in the crapper would not have been good. On a patriotic level, I also realized that there were far more important things than my disdain for the priapic POTUS.

51%. The mind reels.

This is the divide in the democrat party, which jibes with Lamont's share in the CT primary.

51% moonbat, 40% living on earth libs, and 9% too stoned to answer.

A separate media poll would likely show that 90% do not want President Bush to succeed.

The moonbats are at 60%. Its great to know a majority of Democrats not just hates Bush - they despise America.

This shouldn't surprise anyone. They rejoice at each setback in Iraq, silently smirking with the death of each soldier.

I did. I guess that makes me a wingnut.

I think the author means he didn't want America to fail, of which Clinton was president. He cites the economy, etc.

To see in black and white what we suspected really is mind boggling.

When a president fails it usually means he drags the country down with him. So these loons don't care if they and future generations are worse off, or have to live with less prosperity and security? Maybe they should just up and leave.

I didn't root for him to fail either. I didn't have to, he took care of that himself.

The situation is now different, of course. We're talking about a group of people who root for the Pres. to fail in regard to a global war on terror. Back in Clinton's day, there was nothing going on that was that serious.

Yea, and unfortunately his failures led to 90% of the problems we're facing right now. Al Quada, N. Korea, Middle East, Iran, Syria etc.

Mkaes you wonder why if dems hate this county so much why they don't just slap on a Hijab and more their lazy rear ends to Afghanistan.

I did. I guess that makes me a wingnut.

If you can honestly say that you rooted for defeat in Somolia, or reveled in the US lives lost in our misguided adventures in Kosovo, then yes, you are a wingnut.

If you wished to see Clinton fail in his socialist schemes, and pay the price for getting a BJ, or whacking off in the sink, in the Oval Office, then leing about it, etc, then you are just a conservative. Of course, according to the left, that in itself makes you a wingnut.
