Pakistan: Suspected London Plane Terrorists Have Al Qaeda Connection
LONDON — Police arrested 40 people in cities throughout Italy in raids on Muslim gathering places in a security crackdown after Britain thwarted an alleged terror plot, the Interior Ministry said Friday, as Pakistani intelligence agents claimed there was an connection with ties to to the group of suspected terrorists arrested Thursday.
The arrests in Italy were made Rome, Milan, Venice, Florence, Naples and other cities on Thursday and Friday "as part of an extraordinary operation that followed the British anti-terrorist operation," the ministry said in a statement.

The CIA is supposed to conduct covert operations such as these, but they quit when the law was passed about assassinating foreign leaders. Since that law has been repealed, they haven't seemed to have taken much interest in this aspect of "diplomacy". It is really needed now in several places.

I don't think we have rounded up any. All I've seen is some bureaucrat covering his rear-end saying that the 11 missing egyptians posed no threat. They got a few of those guys, but no one else.

Two of those reported caught today were reported by a Walmart employee. The idiots went through the checkout repeatedly with three phones (the WalMart limit per customer).
The pair caught in Ohio were reported by a Radio Shack employee because they wouldn't give their names when purchasing time on two of the phones.
None of the purchases were in large quantities at any one store, and they paid in cash, which explains why they all had lists of Wal-Mart stores in several states.
I have a feeling these freaks will be cooling it for awhile. These arrests have gotten so much publicity, there'll be a lot more store clerks taking notice.
These cellphones aren't necessarily linked to the airplane plot, by the way.

Well, there is zero doubt in my mind that the "airline plot" was advanced to distract from the events in Lebanon/Syria.
