Nearly six in 10 (58%) doubt that diplomacy and negotiation are of much use "in dealing with Islamic fascists bent on destroying Western civilization." 42% believe it possible to successfully negotiate with the Al Qaedas of the world? Brain-diseased libs. ....but I repeat myself.

If 60% doubt that negotiating will do any good, then a certain % must just resign themselves to the fact that they or a loved one might die. Because 60% of Americans aren't behind the war or any dometic policies to make us safer, like immigration enforcement, Patriot Act, profiling.

Most impressively, more than three in four (76%) believe Iran must be prevented from obtaining nuclear weapons "at any cost."WOW!!!
Even Democrats, who were less enthusiastic with their responses in general, "strongly" agreed in this case by 52% vs. 18% who agreed "somewhat." Other statements drew "strong" agreement from only 25% to 43% of Democrats.
WOW Again!

I didn't see it. I think Hedgecock read it. Maybe some people are starting to understand what we have known for a long time.

This is one of the first polls taken that agrees with my casual emails and discussions. I think it is right, despite what you hear in the press.
Many of the polled in other polls dislike the WOT because they feel that we should be more brutal and get it over with.

Same here. I've been feeling the urge to get busy on my reloading press lately. Hey! Stop reading my thoughts!

Now, if we can get people to vote according to which party is best suited to defend the country against this threat, well, then perhaps there is a pin-hole of light in this very dark tunnel.

"919 adults surveyed"? Which ones? Hard to believe anything/anyone anymore. Pretty much share their views but first must discount a well-earned cynicism of polling. Been reading the news too long. And I've lost track now... does this mark the Fourth or Fifth Crusade... or is it the Sixth, or Seventh...
