Religious group bristles at Bush term Islamic fascists
WASHINGTON - U.S. Muslim groups criticized President Bush Thursday for calling a foiled plot to blow up airplanes part of a war with Islamic fascists, saying the term could inflame anti-Muslim tensions.
:
:
We believe this is an ill-advised term and we believe that it is counter-productive to associate Islam or Muslims with fascism, said Nihad Awad, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations advocacy group.

"Good." Actually, that was the very word that came to my mind after reading the headline, too.
Then, the next thing was a question...Okay, so YOU fear a backlash, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?
I know what an "American" would do about it....so...let's see if you are really "Americans"...or not.
Pony up.

"If they don't like the criticisms, then they are free to leave ASAP."
I'll go you one step further.
We should encourage and assist them in leaving.
Just as fast as physically possible.

I think it is a terrible injustice to paint everybody of one religion with the same brush. Unfortunately we're going to have to at some point. This war will involve hurting a bunch of innocent people just because of their religious beliefs. There is no doubt about that in my mind.
I am confident that not all muslims are terroists. But there is no real way to distingish between the terrorists and the non-terrorists.

U.S. Muslim groups criticized President Bush Thursday for calling a foiled plot to blow up airplanes part of a war with Islamic fascists, saying the term could inflame anti-Muslim tensions.I hope it does. It's long past time for Americans to recognize this enemy and stop tolerating it. Mosques that preach hatred of America and advocate the destruction of our country should be banned, and any non-U.S. citizen who advocates those views should be deported.
That would go a long way toward neutralizing the problem, though I realize we'd still have to deal with those radical Islamofascists who have managed to acquire U.S. citizenship.

I'd rather be called a racist or a xenophobe and ensure the survival of my country and my family, then the option to be politically correct and watch it all be destroyed by an evil pseudo-religious culture of death.

Perhaps the citizens of Detroit need to start taking some matters a lot more seriously. I'd be starting something like Guardian Angels or Neighborhood Crime Watch to weed these people out of their community.Don't weed these people out, just remove their citizenship and kick the hell out of the US. (Wish there was some way, darn)

I stated an axiomatic fact.
Now you divert from it by pretending I said something else. Since you work for and speciously vouch for him, maybe you have other interests that you won't reveal here......

OK, who EXACTLY wrote this garbage? I'd bet my eye teeth that some young, stupid female Kool-Aid drinker wrote this, but since this trend is being pointed out more and more, we see the various news agencies posting news with no name, sort of "generic lies" or a "one size fits all" lie. Or photograph.
As for the information in the article, it isn't even worth the keystrokes. It is redundant to say that the Muslims are offended. That outrage is the CAIR Muslims contribution to the Muslim Mission. Since they can't be over in Iraq killing American soldiers and Marines, they will be marching through the street in Orlando today.
It is the blackest of ironies that as these evil Muslims parade through the crown jewel in the American Fun Crown, not one of them has to worry about an IED. They can stomp their feet and scream and shout and not have to worry about being blown to bits by a bomb detonated by a chip from a cell TracFone that was purchased by two Michiganites from a WalMart in Ohio. The Muslims are now officially offended, and they are on the march today in Orlando...as thousands of great American men and women are fighting in a sandy hellhole on the other side of the world, to defend their right to shriek their foul tongue, and threaten to kill all the infidels.
When General Cornwallis surrendered at Yorktown, his fife and drum played, "The World Turned Upside Down". We surrendered to the Muslims the day that we didn't defend our embassy in Tehran. We should have started reading the Koran on that day, but the evil Muslims should have read our Bill of Rights. It is our very best weapon. It is who we are.

Actually, I don't work for him. He's a naturalized citizen of our country. He's no threat. But who knows what his kids may do some day? Or his grand kids.
Unfortunately there is no clear way to distinguish between the threat and those that are not threatening.
Consider the religious christian kooks in Kansas that are protesting the war at funeral. It would an injustice to paint all christians with the same brush we would paint these kooks with.

the term could inflame anti-Muslim tensions. So President Bush using the words "Islamic fascists" is more likely to inflame "anti-Muslim" tensions than Muslims blowing up airliners, beheading hostages, rioting over cartoons, firing rockets into Israel, and calling for the death of Jews and Americans.
Muslims should be asking themselves, "what have we done to make the Americans hate us so much?"
