I"m getting a late start here again this morning...
I wonder if these 2 articles are related to yesterday's decisions:
"30 Tanks Wiped Out in Lebanon" (here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1681777/posts)
and
"Computerised weaponry and high morale " (here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/israel/Story/0,,1842276,00.html).
New information and developments need new strategies???

i'm not exactly sure what post of mine you are replying to.
I must disagree with you here. Militarily itmay be seen as a stalemate, but politically and in the region it will be percieved as a huge Hezbollah victory ... and they will gain from this.
The loss of men and material that Hezbollah has suffered, the commodities of warfare, can easily be replaced in the postwar aftermath and the political success it will gain is incalculable.
Hezbollah will rearm, gain in Lebanese political power, as well as gain in the eyes of the Muslim "street" across the region and they will remain in South Lebanon. Do you really expect a U.N. or Lebanese Army to remove them? They will filter back into the area and rearm. The Lebanese Army will not do a thing to stop them and the U.N./French will be mired in it's own bureaucratic mess to do anything either.
The buffer zone will be a pipe dream, Hezbollah will not be disarmed and may grow much stronger in the rearming phase, and who know about the two soldiers captured early on. It sounds like there may be a prisoner swap which was one of Hezbollah's goals all along.
Game, set, match.
Nazrallah is already claiming victory over Israel. I don't remember what site this was on but I think I saw it yestserday.
This is truly disgusting. I just can't believe that Israel is going to surrender to the UN...and Hezbollah.
new info on latest UN proposal..deal DOES NOT disarm hezballah..they will worry about that later...2000 UN troops...2500 frrnh troops...and 10,000 leb troops in S leb.
Boy, oh, boy, I would pay cash money to see that guy arrested and thrown in prison!
If the govt. of Lebanon/Hezebola was "smart" they would make a spectacle of disbanding Hezebola and then simply absorb Hezebola assets and personnel into the Lebanese defense forces.
18:11 Three rockets land in Haifa suburbs; several treated for shock (Haaretz)
18:04 EU urges UN, Israel, Lebanon to find speedy solution to Middle East violence (AP)
Isn't that the profile of the devil in the smoke??!??
What a damned shame...Olmert is pissing away a golden opportunity and Israel's civilion population will pay dearly soon.
I would guess that the Israeli military would HAVE to develop new strategy after finding out how those bunkers and tunnels are made..and all of the sophisticated anti-tank weapons...
BUT, I see this as just a normal adjustment to conditions on the ground of any war...
But, it does for sure speak to why Israel is frustrated that OUR State Dept. is trying to keep some weapons from them that could be used to get around that problem.
BTW...if I were Gillerman, any resolution would HAVE to include a systematic destruction of every single bunker and tunnel, along with the weapons, in south Lebanon...because if the Hezzies are supposed to be GONE, and the Lebanese have not intention to attack Israel..they are not necessary...if they balk at that demand...all bets are off.

Next to Hiroshima, that has to be the most famous plume of smoke ever. Rooters must be so proud.
THUMBS way down on that proposal!
If true, it would prove the leftists are working hand-in-hand with the terrorists.
I don't know who is worse, George Galloway, or Cindy Sheehan..hmmmmm.
FOX NEWS ALERT:
OLMERT NOT HAPPY WITH DRAFT RESOLUTION. SENDS INFO TO MILITARY TO PREPARE FOR THE GROUND INVASION
I think we'll all pay soon if he does this. Don't forget that the Hezzies are a wholly-owned subsidiary of Iran. The only way I can see this to be a good thing is if it is to retrieve Israel's forces so they can be ready for something else that may be on the horizon.
FOX reporting Olmert not pleased with the new resolution..ground war may be back on...
My seat belt broke.
