He was on video on the Fox page today. Didn't see him live, but I've been in and out today.

Tyre lost electricty when it was blown up. they probably have generators to transmit in war, but you never know...

Not that I'm stalking him or anything...

Actually, this Resolution has sort of backdoor'd Iran and Syria. If they send arms to Hezbollah, they are in violation of this Resolution. Now I know that's not a lot (just another Resolution) but it might help Pres. Bush & Co. with some diplomacy at the end of this month.

Also, I keep wondering if there might be a reason we would not want 20 or 30 thousand Israeli troops tied up in Lebanon going into September. I may well be wrong about that, but, it seems like a possibility that we might want them free'd up.

Last, I wonder how much France is really going to enjoy this little job? Sort of a "be careful what you ask for."

You're asking for days of typing, and from your posts, you already have assimilated 95% of it.

Iran wants nukes.

Bush prefers they not have them.

Iran has certain political and certain military options open to them.

The US has certain political and military options open to us.

The options available to both sides are dynamic over the course of time.

I know exactly how I would have dealt with hezbollah, but that is still an ongoing operation. Somewhere, there are maps, from weeks ago. I can't openly publish those yet.

Condi ruined nothing.

All the same, she cracked like an egg on Qana day, she broke with US policy and Bush had to bail her out, costing him even more political capital than being Israel's umbrella did.

I didn't lose respect for Rice because of what happened today, I lost respect for how she handled herself underfire, when the chips were down. In my opinion, she paniked, and has never recovered her strength or equilibrium.

Condi needs to take some time off, because she isn't being true to herself, her President, or the public, and that is precisely where the breach of trust lies.

Olmert is a putz because he straddled the fence, and Israeli soldiers got racked. I can make a case for Israel lying low, with a tiny country, and Iranian missiles pointed at their nuclear facilities, maybe it would have been better to step back and let the proxy masters duke it out openly, as is likely later this month or next.

But in that case, no ground offensive was necessary at all, not to mention three or four abortive ones. When you do what Olmert did to Israeli soldiers, they very quickly stop respecting you, and no matter what happens in the next day or week or month, Olmert has dug a big hole for himself and for Israel there.

Condi and Olmert need to both understand, Olmert for perhaps the first time, Condi in review, that when you say something, as head of a country, or as Secretary of State, you have to make it happen.

Israel's prime reason for all of this, the return of the kidnapped soldiers, an objective Rice said she shared and respected, has been swept under the rug. Same with the disarming of Hezbollah.

If you can't do it, don't claim you are going to do it.

If you claim you are going to do something, and fail, don't present us with some plastered over bubndle of crap and claim you've a rosy p[icture, when prime objectives remain unmet. That's deception twice over.

I was willing to foirgive Rice her Qana day mistakes, but instead of rectifying them, she has continued them, and is today trying to paste a big smile on failure.

I can't and won't respect that, not in wartime, not ever. It stinks.

That's what's on my mind now, if you have specific questions ask them and I'll try to answer.

that was never in doubt - Ginsburg has been in sync with us all the way.

That is not even close to the truth. I watched Ginsburg in the early going and he was all against the fighting and all in favor of a brokered "peace agreement", gung-ho for Condi's UN efforts. Remember, this guy is not an ex-General, he is an ex-diplomat and I believe he really thought that we could cut a good deal. Lately he has been on our side and, because he is a diplomat, he can see that we took it in the shorts with this piece of crap UN resolution.

Dozens of Muslims demonstrate against Israel and the U-S government

SAN FRANCISCO Carrying signs that denounced Israel and the Bush government, about seventy-five Muslims held a demonstration in San Francisco to protest the escalating violence in the Middle East.

It began with a public prayer at Civic Center Plaza, followed by a march through the streets and ended with a rally at the Israeli Consulate.

Shawa Hussein, who considers both Palestine and Lebanon his homeland, says he co-organized the demonstration because the Muslim perspective does not get attention.

Hussein says Arabs only fight where there is "occupation." He says "wherever there is occupation there will be resistance."

Hussein calls Israel an aggressor with a goal to control the entire Middle East.
