Love is a Battlefield
IDF soldier received heart shaped cookie somewhere near the Lebanon border...
That makes both of us!!!
Hi Liz....it has been awful.
I know Miss Marple tells us to keep our chins up...but, I have to admit mine is dragging the keyboard tonight.
About the only advice I have for anyone tonight..is to stay tuned.
I heard an interview from Israel a little while ago..and the reporter said he had talked to an Israeli army higher up..and the army guy said they need about 3 weeks to finish in Lebanon...but he isn't sure he will get that whole time.
??????
That makes me think that Israel is gonna take it's sweet time LEAVING Lebanon...just like it has taken it's sweet time getting IN to Lebanon.
Yes, I noticed that too on one of the threads earlier. Curious to say the least; the plot thickens. You might want to type in the url daily telegraph (run it together) and then .com.au and you will be able to read, print and see the article and the picture that went with it. It's Murdoch's lead story so its the lead on the online edition as well.
From what i understand when Bibi was in charge the IDF reached that river in 3 days. The forces are just as good as they were then. The only difference is that Bibi give them a free hand while Olmert tied their hands

Just something to make ya'll chuckle: Cynthia McKinney isn't going AWAY...LOL
well sure, they are going to move what forces they can to the Litani over the next 36 hours - and as those forces retreat south to comply with the ceasefire, they will attack Hez positions. But that is not going to be enough of a force to destroy them - not even close.
that was never in doubt - Ginsburg has been in sync with us all the way.
Well, Aug 22nd sure sounds like a more likely date...I didn't understand the Aug 16th date at all.
We have all been told that Muslims are "into" dates.
I HOPE the date was the 22nd...because that may have taken out Ahmanutjob's big threat.
wow - did you hear that prediction - Nasrallah will be elected prime minister of Lebanon, then the decisions regarding the use of "Lebanese" forces, will be his.
BOR is on again. Tony Snow up soon.
Pinz
Marc Ginsberg on Greta just said that Olmert shoul lose his job over this after all of the suffering on both sides...to end up with KOFI ANNAN of all people being over the timing and details of this resolution is a JOKE.
He was very upset with the whole thing...and doesn't see Hezbollah getting less power...the will be more powerful.
Israel had better take out Nasrallah NOW. If they don't, he will take over the government by the next election, if not sooner. He then kicks out any UN "peacekeepers" and the country is controlled by Iran with Nasrallah as the grand ayatolla(?).
Not a good picture!
Sorry...Batchelor ISN'T buying it.
They have a child talking to her mother asking what would they do if there was a terrorist attack, where would they go, what would they do.
At the end they asked, do you have a plan?
Here I go again. Back when Bibi led the army, he was fighting a standing army. They never had a chance against a well trained and equipped army that Israel fielded. I think this war is sort of like our VN. The enemy is dug in and hiding in caves and tunnels. Popping up all over the place and heavily armed. Israel never fought a war like this and it is a learning process. They are learning quickly but it has been expensive.
