IDF soldier received heart shaped cookie somewhere near the Lebanon border...

absolutely - this planes plot was stopped, but they will try again, and try other things. all these unexplained cell phone purchases, missing egyptian "students". the wheels are in motion all around us.
Yes, if I can add my take on this. We have Foxtel in Australia and being interested in everything that is going on we watch Fox news quite a lot. About one week ago today when Dr Rice held a press conference to answer questions about the negotiations which would lead to this latest vote in the Security Council, she said something like we will put measures in place that will allow a reduction in the violence (not exact words) - but then we remember her saying and this was her exact words "then we will see who wants peace". Does this mean that Hezbollah must cease firing rockets into Israel now - this instant. I guess we will soon see - won't we.
The ceasefire is bilateral. BOTH sides have to cease fire.
He was unbearably smug, and I told him that the next time we play, I am going to be in ruthless mode. LOL!
Oh, what a brilliant observation! Thank you for pointing that out. That's an excellent point and one the world will have a hard time squirming out of.
I know I wasn't happy with her...but it is her job..and I think she had no choice...Olmert didn't give her any choice.
Good post. Totally agree with you.
Are you watching H&C. Sean is redeeming himself after yesterday.
What on earth is the Chickin Dance?
PM Olmert thanks Bush for UNSC draft work
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert spoke with US President George W. Bush by telephone for the first time since the war began.
Olmert thanked Bush for his work on the UN Security Council resolution for a cease-fire between Hizbullah and Israel.
In the eight-minute conversation, Bush "expressed his view that the crisis was provoked by Hezbollah with the support of Iran and Syria,"
National Security Council spokesman Frederick Jones said.

Does this mean they'll have hair on their chest?
For her to say that is meaningless. It's not in the resolution. I am ashamed of her dishonesty in making that statement ... playing with lives.
That's what they are all doing - playing with lives. And, as long as there are no consequences to them personally, they will continue to do so.
In ancient times, when agreements were reached between warring nations, there was a custom of exchanging diplomatic hostages. Family members of the rulers or other officials who entered into the agreement would be exchanged with the clear understanding that they would be killed if the agreement was broken.
Since we are at war with a 7th century culture, perhaps we should revisit this custom. If every member of the Security Council, Kofi Annan, Olmert, Peretz, Siniora et al. knew they had to put up their wives or ones of the children as hostages to guarantee the agreement, or even better offer themselves instead, then we might stand a chance of getting a realistic agreement, or at least an honest acknowledgement that that it was an impossibility.
Wow. Even Alan is jumping on this guy. What a fool he is making of himself.
