PM Olmert thanks Bush for UNSC draft work

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert spoke with US President George W. Bush by telephone for the first time since the war began.

Olmert thanked Bush for his work on the UN Security Council resolution for a cease-fire between Hizbullah and Israel.

In the eight-minute conversation, Bush "expressed his view that the crisis was provoked by Hezbollah with the support of Iran and Syria,"
National Security Council spokesman Frederick Jones said.

Bush reinterated that Iran was behind this huh???

Well, I think he was letting Olmert know he screwed up..that he needed to take on Hezbollah...to get to Iran.

I am sure that Olmert had been told he would get whatever he needed re: weapons and time...if he just did his part.
