Bibi (and I am not a great admirer of him) has acted like a great statesmen and a great Israeli during this war. Loyal to the "Commander in Chief" during wartime, good spokesman for Israel.
He has said that he will withhold any criticim of the government until the war is over.
Then again, CNN Int. is now reporting that the resolution leaves some leeway when it comes to timing. Gorani says that there might be a 72 hour window for Israel to get the job done.
MOSHE brought the IDF they GUNNA have some"FUN",,,LOL .
WATCH what HAPPENS NEXT,,,,!
If the Israeli cabinet agrees to this on Sunday..that gives OLMERT a win within the political circle..if not with the Iraeli people..
Watch him then turn around and order the withdrawal of Israelis from the West Bank.
Israel was only willing to go so far on the ground - we've seen that all along. this is just the end game for what was their choice all along.
Israel cannot agree to anything without the return of their captured soldiers ... otherwise, why did they fight and why did so many die?
< Israeli aircraft fired at least five rockets at a convoy of hundreds of cars carrying people fleeing south Lebanon on Friday, killing at least two people and wounding eight, witnesses and rescue workers said. >
They were warned not to travel in vehicles.
Oh them? Gotta break a few eggs for political expediency and global appeasement dont ya know.
Please don't say they died in vain. For me at least, that dishonors the soldiers and their families. Keep in mind they fought to get their fellow soldiers back from the enemy. No one dies in vain when they're fighting for what they themselves believed in- regardless of the outcome. This war is only a very tiny fraction of the real war that lies ahead.
Wolf Blitzer asked the Foreign minister of Britain, Beckett, what the resolution says about the return of the kidnapped Israeli soldiers..and she wouldn't answer him...
She said he would have to read the document.....witch!!!
I compared her to Maddy Albright....gag me.
This drives me nuts and reminds me of an old joke which is turning sour:
What's the difference between Israeli tanks and Egyptian tanks?
Israeli tanks don't have backup lights.
Under Olmert, they do
And Shep can repeat ad nauseum about Israeli soldiers leaving Lebanon with their tails between their legs....and the kidnapped soldiers? Are they mentioned in the vaunted UN pro terrorist resolution??
(Go Israel, Go! Slap 'Em Down Hezbullies.)
Hokey, pokey???
I think also. They'll get an exception for Shabbat.
The cool thing about ceasefire agreements is that if one side violates it it is null and void.
I disagree. It's been painfully obvious that Olmert didn't have the guts to wage this war. Bush gave him cover for a month. Olmert did nothing with it.
While Olmert may be relieved this is over, I'd bet Bush is not. But, it is Israel's war, not ours.
Decision to give 'green light' to expand IDF operations in Lebanon met with severe criticism from left
Attila Somfalvi
The decision Friday to expand IDF operations in Lebanon met with severe criticism from the Left wing. Chairman of Meretz-Yahad Yossi Beilin said the move was "a prize for Hizbullah."
"I hope Olmert and Peretz's decision is part of the arm-twisting on the eve of the security council decision (on a ceasefire). If the ground operation is indeed stretched to the Litani, the result will be long weeks of exhaustive warfare," Beilin said.
Chairman of the Meretz faction Zahav Galon defined the decision as "hasty and thoughtless."
"This decision was a surrender to the army's agenda to expand the war process instead of waiting for a diplomatic victory," Galon said.
On the other hand MK Yisrael Hason (Israel Our Home) praised the decision made by the prime minister and defense minister.
"The past few days prove that the Homefront and the army need leadership. The government must stand up to the goals the prime minister presented in his speech at the beginning of the war, and the agreement being reached (in the UN) is a severe hindrance which at best will result in generations of tears," Hason said. Ilan Marciano contributed to the report
Is this assurance of yours before or after August 22nd..and Iran hits Israel with some kind of hugh weapon???
