I had high hopes in the beginning that Bush would stick with Israel and not give in to the likes of the French.It seems he has abandoned them in exchange for the world loving us.I am disappointed becasue I know what this ultimately means down the road for Israel.
Well, let's hope the Israeli people now realize that they live in the toughest neighborhood on the planet and that having a lawyer running their country is a big mistake with thugs and murderers all around who ignore law and piss on constitutions and treaties. Olmert is a fool ... and the Israeli voters look foolish for putting him in office. Sadly, they will pay with their lives for this mistake.

The way I look at it, Israel has just lost a war.
There is no doubt Hizbullah will be viewed as the clear victor here. This is an absolute disaster for Israel any way you look at it.

They said the convoy that had left the town of Marjayoun earlier in the day was targeted by at least one drone near the village of Kefraya in eastern Lebanon. Around 3,000 civilians and 350 Lebanese security men had left the town in the convoy a day after Israeli forces seized the area. (AP)

especially troubling is - hezbollah doesn't even seem to be a party to the ceasefire. they can simply remain silent.
Bush is incoherent if he helped push this. I guess taking it to terrorists and those who sponsor terrorists was just a big line..fool me again mr. elite. We need to end this madness now so our children can live in peace and I dont have to show my scrotum to a tsa officer when I board a plane.
No he hasn't and it's likely any ceasefire wouldn't take effect until Sunday.
But if these reports are true, that Olmert will agree to ANY ceasefire proposed by the UN, it's weakened the one mighty Israeli military in the eyes of the jihadists.
And just where do they go to get their reputations back?
One wonders how any Israelis could not have realized that. They've always had to fight for their lives against neighbors who hate them intensely.
