I guess you're right then. Hezbollah is heroic and they managed to fight Israel's army to a standstill. That's the way it will appear to the Arab world and outsiders. What did Israel really gain? Truthfully, we don't know and aren't privy to all the details. They say politics is the art of the possible. Most Israelis would like nothing better than to get out of the Lebanese swamp. And concentrate on building an even stronger country for the inevitable confrontation with Iran. Only time will tell whether Olmert was a fool or a cunning Machiavellian strategist.

(Go Israel, Go! Slap 'Em Down Hezbullies.)

The only thing that will make me happy right now is if Israel takes a might whack at Syria before this thing is called....really nail them!

I don't think we will have long to wait.

With the Hezbollah rockets still in place in Southern Lebanon Olmert's version of Cut and Run will be tested soon enough. Iran will not pass up the occasional opportunity to impress on Israel how foolish it would be for them to even think about bombing Iran's nuclear facilities. That is what this is all about. Iran has taught Israel and the U.S. a valuable lesson: Bomb our nuclear facilities and we will light up Tel Aviv with chemical warheads launched from Southern Lebanon.

If it comes to this what would Olmert do (If he is still around)? What would Bush/Condi do? I think they would punt, just like they did this time.
