Understood...but the US support for Iraq isn't the same as Israel's war in the first instance. Israel is fighting a war on it's very borders, against people who want them wiped out.

You know, yesterday someone sent me the link to a video of Dan rather appearing with Letterman after 911.
Rather was gung ho and wanted someone attacked. Wanted Saddam taken out even if he was not behind 911, because according to Rather, he was still part of the same hate America crowd as bin Laden.
But, to my point, Rather emphasised that what America now needed was for the public to get ready behind George Bush,and have the stamina for a long war. He emphasised that a lot.
Kinda ironic, with his behaviour later on.
yes, I know. The US is fighting for its life too - but most americans don't believe that. the islamofascists wanted to kill 2000 civilians on a bunch of aircraft this week, and most americans at the airports are whining about having to give up their toothpaste.
