Love is a Battlefield
IDF soldier received heart shaped cookie somewhere near the Lebanon border...
War is on despite vote on UN resolution this afternoon. Olmert told Condi how they would attack Hezbollah forces. IDF plans major tactical changes from how they've conducted war so far.

Hmmm.. I thought Maxwell Smart was about "KAOS" and confusion.....
(Sorry, all -- couldn't resist...)

:)
The Pope will frown on that. ;-)

Ssoooo...let me get this straight...
In order for the US to make nice-nice with the Saudis...we have to go along with a resolution that is VERY pro-Hezbollah, and against the Israelis...with a wink-wink by Bush to Olmert that he expects him NOT to go along with it??
I mean, even the armor they have is apparently not cutting it. what kind of force can they airlift to the litani, then "move south" with?
(Go Israel, Go! Slap 'Em Down Hezbullies.)
That's what I do too. I keep my pocket items down to the barest minimum.
You're kidding right?
Hez would not be correct.
How many resolutions have Iran, Syria and Lebanon kept/not broken? Exactly.
Who's been shooting rockets across Israel's borders for years? Even when land was given.
They snatched the soldiers, where are they?
Hez was supposed to be out per resolution two years ago.
UN has been there 28 years while they slipped missles past.
Now they think Israel will give them a thousand thugs for soldiers when they wouldn't allow the Red Cross to check on them... are they still living even?
Obviously, Lebanon not only smacked 1559 away, they installed Hez into the structure of govt. via posts.
$75 oil is all the saudis need to be happy.
You mean good cop, bad cop?
They better have a sizable contingent along with sizable armor becuase if they just drop a few hundred guys there with guns they'll be wiped out.
GOOD MOVE...The Hez must pay for being stationary...
I am sooooooooooo confused!
If you get to the Litani with at least a recon-in-force you may be behind the enemy fortifications so you can at least come at them from the rear, and at best get a hammer and anvil scenario in play.

Maybe we should all go out and engage the cops in car chases so that Israel can invade in peace, without having Shep describe their every move....
I can see us coordinating hand offs to the next driver in anther city by cell phone as we roll down our windows and put up our hands to the cops...
I think I need some fresh air...

The UN is a joke. No one takes them seriously and they shouldn't. The UN has become a debating society for dictators and socialists. It's high time we scrap the whole thing.
Thank you :)
the armor they have is doing ok but when you have small forces in static positions in in and out ops you're vulnerable to saggers and other atgms. If you move in force with speed and overwhelming strength, you negate the saggers. you also have to large infantry and air assets to take out the opposing infantry.
a few hundred hb with atgms is not that big of an obstacle if you're willing to deal with it
