2 hotel penalty??
I blinked, is the ground offensive on or off for this half hour?

so far the only source I know for this is Fox news.
You have more faith than I do. Leftists control the history books, the MSM controls the information, and none of them could even wait for Ronald Reagan to be buried before they chomped at the bit to rip his legacy to shreds.
still on as far as I know...
"Jennifer Griffin said a few minutes ago that Condi Rice called Olmert a little while ago..and asked him "isn't there anything we can do"??"
This is just totally ticking me off. Now those *ssholes at the U.N. are going ahead with a vote on the latest draft resolution that is now pro-Lebanon and Hezbollah and anti-Israeli interests, and the U.S. is going along with it. Condi Rice should be ashamed of herself. My guess is that she has muscled John Bolton into going along with this (with Bush backing her up) as Bolton is pro-Israeli interests. Condi is not. I am actively starting to dislike her. She is weak. She's just a female version of Colin Powell.
So, now with the U.N. going along with this resolution rather than the original one that had some teeth in it that Lebanon and the Arab League rejected, the onus will now be on Israel. So our *sshole gov't is selling Israel down the river, and when Israel doesn't go along w/the resolution that will be voted on that does NOTHING to solve the problem at hand, Israel will now look like the obstructionist rather than Lebanon.
With friends like us, Israel will go down the tubes sooner than later, unless they ignore "world" opinion and go it alone. Which they are in the process of doing right now by finally getting off their derrieres and invading Lebanon up to the Litani River. It's about time. Israel, in order to survive, will have to ignore the basically anti-semitic "world opinion" and do what they have to do, ignoring also our U.S. gov't which has turned on them bigtime.
Where is Bibi when you need him? Stupid Israeli voters made a big mistake by hiring a "negotiate and talk" lawyer for their PM rather than a military man who knows how to fight a war. I'm just disgusted here.
Wasn't it being reported just a few days ago that Syria was removing their mines?
Thanks - I kind of figured that, but wasn't sure.
Is the ceasefire on or off? Syria clearing mines on the borders?
Nuts, i have to go back to work!
Fox news is the only source of the Syria mine story - can't find it in print.
I doubt I'll ever board a commercial aircraft again, but back in my free, Space-A flying days, usually on backpacking trips, I'd check all the heavy gear except small expensive stuff, GPS, camera, two ways, etc.
Those, a book, water, snacks, all trip paper work, change, wallet, keys and all other pocket litter went into my daypack.
Slide out from under it, toss it on the conveyor, strap it back on on the other end, no fuss, no muss.
I also learned to check my heavy boots and wear easy on/easy off sneakers through security.
By Edward Luce in Washington - MSNBC
Washington's foreign policy elite is engaged in a bitter tussle between "neoconservatives" and "realists" seeking to influence George W. Bush's stance on the Israel-Lebanon crisis. The neocons increasingly have the upper hand.
Former and current administration officials say that George W. Bush feels more strongly and is more engaged in support of Israel's military assault on Hizbollah than on any other question. They say Mr Bush feels passionately that the US should support Israel in what he sees as the frontline in the global battle between democracy and terrorism.
There was an article posted on FR this morning by News World Report that may have very good news for Republicans this fall. According to new information the Republican base is on fire and ready to go to the polls this fall. In spite of certain dissatisfactions with some issues, there seems to be major support for Republican candidates. The report suggests that Republican intensity is very high. I think we've been getting the same MSM spin that we've been getting from the UN. Remember, no one in the press saw Olmert's move to initiate this ground war. So I think the same MSM blindness is present for this fall's elections.
I think the war is on, ceasefire is off, but I'm reading the thread at #801, jumping up here to respond to pings.
KAC says 'on.'
I'm as confused as the troops. :-(

Remember, original reports said twenty. That doesn't count operational and financing.

A vote for a Democrat, or a non-vote, is a vote for Bush's impeachment.
You know Condi Rice is going to smile to the cameras and declares that we want to stop the suffering blah, blah, blah... I was never fan of her and I will never be. I do not know why so many freepers think the world of her. She is as overrated as Hillary Clinton.
"A vote for a Democrat, or a non-vote, is a vote for Bush's impeachment."
You've got that right.
Dang j, we are twins... I thought the same thing a long time ago.
