CAIR STATEMENT ON ALLEGED AIRLINE TERROR PLOT
(WASHINGTON D.C., 8/10/06) - The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today issued the following statement at a news conference in Washington, D.C., in response to the arrests of 21 individuals for allegedly plotting to use liquid explosives on passenger flights traveling from the United Kingdom to the United States. (NOTE: CAIR's news conference was taped for later broadcast by C-SPAN.)
In its statement, CAIR said:
"American Muslims have consistently condemned all acts of terrorism, whether carried out by individuals, groups or states. We repudiate anyone or any group that plans or carries out a terrorist act. We welcome early actions by law enforcement authorities against credible threats to the safety of the traveling public.
"The American Muslim community has always been dedicated to the protection of our national security. It is also important that our fellow Americans understand that Muslims are law-abiding citizens who should not be targeted or singled out because of their faith or national origin.
"We have been contacted by federal law enforcement authorities who are taking steps to ensure that there is no backlash against the American Muslim community. We commend them for their pro-active efforts. We ask local Muslim communities to step up security measures at mosques and other Islamic institutions. We also urge local law enforcement agencies to coordinate with Muslim leaders to deter hate crimes.
"It is important, based on past counterterrorism cases that did not lead to terror convictions, that we withhold judgment until all the facts of this case come to light. We also ask public officials and commentators to avoid using stereotypical and ill-defined terminology when referring to this and similar cases.
"As the largest American Muslim civil rights and advocacy group, it is our religious and civic duty to reach out to all Americans to reaffirm Islam's teachings of peace, justice and tolerance for all."
CAIR, America's largest Muslim civil liberties group, has 32 offices, chapters and affiliates nationwide and in Canada. Its mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.
Some accused terrorists beat the rap in court, or criminal charges were dropped, no?
Totally meaningless drivel. The only thing they stated that was they condemn it. The entire rest of the statement regarded thier demands for protection from infidels. They keep their mouths shut, never turn in ANYONE. Screw 'em. Islam is a religion of hate, power over others (especially women), and tolerance for no one and nothing outside of it. It belongs in the middle ages
Innocent until proven guilty, or there's lots of infidel blood on the streets, whichever comes last...

What in the HELL does that mean?
Oh, you know, they might all turn out to be "Islamic students" or falafal salesman on their way to the big

Omar Ahmed, Chairman of the Board of CAIR said in the San Ramon Valley Herald, July 1998: "Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Qur'an should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth.”
And if you notice, they don't actually condemn this act as best I can tell.
They are collectivly starting to get worried that things are not going right for any Islamic movement. More of the world population will equate Islam/Muslim to death and misery. They in general can no longer hide under that long period of time when things where quiet and static in nature. The pandora box has been opened. The many books on their cult that left all the bad stuff out are now superceded by world events and authors who are not afraid to print just how they cult came into existance, how it operates in it's various forms, and obvious to us, just what groups/sects, etc., are the primary trouble makers. They can no longer hood wink the world.
What that means is they are hiring slick lawyers in an effort to get these terrorist Emefers off.
"So shut up and sit down, infidel dogs. Next time the Times will spill the beans before our guys get arrested. THEN we'll see who needs to watch out for WHOM!"
If we wait before we decide, we'll all be dead.
How about when YOU start contacting the FBI to volunteer to infiltrate and bust the terrorists in your community, I'll start believing you really are Americans first and Muslims second.
