US Muslims bristle at Bush term "Islamic fascists" Thu Aug 10, 2006 3:07 PM ET

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Muslim groups criticized President George W. Bush on Thursday for calling a foiled plot to blow up airplanes part of a "war with Islamic fascists," saying the term could inflame anti-Muslim tensions.
U.S. officials have said the plot, thwarted by Britain, to blow up several aircraft over the Atlantic bore many of the hallmarks of al Qaeda.
"We believe this is an ill-advised term and we believe that it is counter-productive to associate Islam or Muslims with fascism," said Nihad Awad, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations advocacy group.
"We ought to take advantage of these incidents to make sure that we do not start a religious war against Islam and Muslims," he told a news conference in Washington.
"We urge him (Bush) and we urge other public officials to restrain themselves."
Awad said U.S. officials should take the lead from their British counterparts who had steered clear of using what he considered inflammatory terms when they announced the arrest of more than 20 suspects in the reported plot.
Hours after the news broke, Bush said it was "a stark reminder that this nation is at war with Islamic fascists who will use any means to destroy those of us who love freedom, to hurt our nation."

Instead, confronting them at every turn has been more effective, because when they’re challenged with the facts they have no argument.
Thankfully, CAIR has been consistently challenged by quite formidable opponents such as Robert Spencer, Daniel Pipes, Steve Emerson, Andrew Whitehead, Michelle Malkin, Joe Kaufman, and many others who are well known in the ever growing anti-jihad community. They are the ones who people now gravitate toward, because they not only speak the truth about Islam and organizations like CAIR, but because they don’t sugar coat anything. What they have said in the past has come true. What they have predicted would happen, has happened. Without their knowledge, and willingness to share it, the West would be much less informed about groups like the CAIR and other like minded organizations.
Instead of them being permitted to conduct “Muslim sensitivity” classes for American law enforcement” (which is a curious issue in itself, especially with their public record), they should be conducting classes to help Muslims assimilate into American society. And by that I don’t mean distributing “Muslim community safety kits” or presenting “know your rights” workshops, but actually assisting Muslims who are new to America in learning how to be Americans. I’m not holding my breath waiting for that to happen though, because I’m not sure that they can teach anyone how to be an American when they don’t behave like they know how to themselves..."

Once again, CAIR ducks an opportunity to denounce radical islamic fascism, apparently claiming there is no such thing. Are they consciously imitating the German-American Bund???

Our President made some progress since 9/11 when he called Cult Of Death (Islam) a "religion of peace". However it would be desirable to speed up this process and deliver hard blows to Islam around the World, starting with our own backyard.
1. Strip Islam from status of "religion"
2. Deport all Muslims from US as they are enemies of America and civilized world.
That's for starters.
