This is rather long, as articles go...but it should be read by all of us as soon as possible...kind of a written "Obsession"...
The Islamacization of America...((((shudder)))))
it's been a very eventful stay...Mrs S and the Sofalass were due to fly out of Heathrow tomorrow morning...looks like they're going to be delayed by at least a day. I get to fly out of here tomorrow afternoon, the Sofalad flies out of Heathrow on Sunday morning, and the outlaws (MIL & FIL) fly out of Heathrow on Monday night.
What next? Rockets and plaves and terrosists, oh my!
Re Olmert...methinks that he got a call from Pres Bush, telling him to hold his water. Not to mention that it takes 2 -3 days (as someone much smarter than I, pointed out) to get the assets in place for a major ground offensive.
However, it strikes me that olmert is a wuss and the Israeli public are starting to get a little irritated with his perceived indecision. The calls to INN are pretty strident.
What beats me, is how the French became a player in this saga....they're no more use than tits on a bull (excuse me) and will, simply, get in the way...
If they really want war in Syria and Iran, then they will reject the new agreement being worked on.
Hey! I resemble that remark! ;^)
That's not a comforting post.... :(
They are involved because Lebanon used to be their colony, and they helped Lebanon kick Syria out.

Wonder if China has supplied a recent large supply of plastic keys to Iran?
If Iran was aware of the British plot, and that was for the 22nd, then perhaps they are thinking of plan b...
US, France near agreement on UN cease-fire resolution

The United States and France tried to bridge differences Thursday over a timetable for an Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon and reach an agreement on a UN resolution that would end the month-long conflict.
As international pressure intensified for the UN Security Council to finally take action that would stop the fighting between Hizbullah and IDF forces, the US and French ambassadors who co-sponsored the resolution met with their Russian, Chinese, and British counterparts to discuss the latest draft.
The ambassadors emerged saying there were still differences and tricky issues to be resolved, but US Ambassador John Bolton and his Chinese colleague held out the possibility that the problems could be resolved Thursday so the resolution could be put in final form for a vote on Friday.
First, however, the Americans and French wanted to make sure that a resolution was acceptable to the Israelis and the Lebanese, who rejected the original draft circulated on Saturday.
The US and French ambassadors met with UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, who had spoken to Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Saniora earlier Thursday. Bolton and France's Jean-Marc de La Sabliere then met again, and another meeting of the five permanent council members was expected late Thursday.
"We're still in conversation and still hoping to reach agreement so we can move as soon as possible," Bolton said.
Bolton said that it is "not unrealistic" that the draft resolution would be put in its final form later Thursday, "but there are no guarantees of it, either."
I have always considered this a big mistake. I DO NOT "celebrate" diversity. In fact, the very phrase makes me nauseous.
You are being too kind to the French..I truly believe that if the French are in charge of anything..especially the patrolling of the south of Lebanon, with/without the Lebanese Army...
Israel better look out....I think they would be in MORE danger.
This is crazy all this back and forth. The mood is pretty cheerful among the press, as if when a cease fire is agreed upon all will be well in the middle east.
I think Bibi will definetly make a run at the PMs office if Hizbullah is left in place. If at the end of the day there is not an agreement that Hizbullah is to be dismantled, then Israel will have lost in my eyes
Any information given about those arrested yet, specifically their ages?
Even if he already has a nuke or three of his own, it's not enough to escape the wrath of Britain, Israel and the USA.
He'd not only be committing national suicide, but he ensures a continuation of the GOP ruling the government here.
Lock and load...
British born. Pakistani ethnics. young, 20's, is what I have heard so far.
Oh...gosh, just the thought that they would do that now...just makes me sick.
The Jewish National Fund said that since the start of the war over 12,000 dunam of forest and over 40,000 dunam of open territory have been burnt, including 750,000 trees.
The damage is said to cost around NIS 36 million, and the price of recovery could reach over NIS 60 million. (Sharon Rofe-Ofir)

Maybe this will win Israel more sympathy from the left. Killing her people or making them refugees hasn't won Israel any leftist sympathy, but 3/4 million Israeli tree casualties should qualify as a real holocaust for Algore types! How many were "old growth" trees and what kind of owls live in them? Why aren't Daryl Hannah and friends flocking there to act as human shields for these poor defenseless trees?
FOX just had LT Col. spec ops type who signaled that IDF may move into Beckha Valley where Iraqs' WMD are hidden.
Could this be?
