Rocket damages beyond casualties and property: The fires sparked when rockets hit open areas in the north have scorched large forested areas, and according to the Jewish National Fund, it will take 60 years for the forests to regenerate. Altogether, in the 29 days of fighting, some 750,000 trees have burned, including oak, pine, pistachio and others. Direct damage stood at no less than NIS 36 million.
On Wednesday a number rockets landed in open areas in the Golan Heights, which sparked additional blazes. Since the beginning of the fighting, Jewish National Fund fire fighting crews were called to extinguish over 600 fires in the north. Along the Naftali Mountains, about 7,500 dunams burned, which constitute over 75 percent of the areas forested land. In the Biria and Beit Keshet Forests over 2,000 dunams of forests were destroyed. JNF donors have already donated USD 5 million to deal with the problem.

Donations may also be made to the Jewish National Fund to purchase tree certificates. Making Israel bloom has been one the goals of Zionism. History recalls that those who came back to re-establish Israel spent thousands of hours clearing the debris of neglect, draining swamps and planting trees. Because of this the Arabians like to destroy forests.

And, the Jews planted the stupid trees in the first place. If they'd been content to leave Israel an arid, unproductive desert, maybe it wouldn't be so bad.
Yes, during the 1973 war I bought a $100 bond for 15 years to plant new forests in Israel. After 15 years went by they said : where do we send the money? I told them to just keep it as an expression of my faith in Israel, they couldn't believe it, had to tell the lady with the new york accent two or three times, she finally sent a new bond instead. My &%^$#$@ ex-wife cashed it in the divorce, the B&*^H...The goat herding slobs that lived there prior to 1948 let their goats chew the land down to the roots. The israelis, beautiful people that they are, re-forested the land and made it beautiful again; that's why it's so sad to see forests, greenhouses....trashed by what are trash people whose minds are long gone into evil, destructive hatred. So, go trash THEM israel!
