Representing the far-left wing that is said to now be running the Democrat Party, Michael Moore is warning all Democrat candidates for office that they must tow the leftist line or face defeat as did Senator Joe Lieberman. Moore also warns these candidates that the left-wing of the Democrat Party will work actively to defeat all candidates that do not support an anti-war policy and an immediate withdrawal from Iraq.
Moores website states: Let the resounding defeat of Senator Joe Lieberman send a cold shiver down the spine of every Democrat who supported the invasion of Iraq and who continues to support, in any way, this senseless, immoral, unwinnable war. Make no mistake about it: We, the majority of Americans, want this war ended -- and we will actively work to defeat each and every one of you who does not support an immediate end to this war.
Nearly every Democrat set to run for president in 2008 is responsible for this war. They voted for it or they supported it. That single, stupid decision has cost us 2,592 American lives and tens of thousands of Iraqi lives. Lieberman and Company made a colossal mistake and we are going to make sure they pay for that mistake. Payback time started last night.

****Where do all of those centrist and slightly left-of-center Democrats end up?***
Welcome them...
Better that these squabbles be decided at Candidate Selection meetings, or in the primaries, than destroying ourselves and allowing these leftists to rule...

LIEBerals : Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory since 1994. Majority of Americans, Mr. Moore? Hmmm...
One Democrat president in 28 years. Elected due to a broken tax promise by a Republican, lies of "moderation" by the winner, and a third party nut.
Four Democrat presidents in 48 years. Including the aforementioned, one president was elected despite allegations of serious vote fraud in Illinois; one won when the aforementioned was assasinated; the last one won in the aftermath of Nixon.
With the exception of Kennedy, each one of those Democrat presidencies was followed by re-election of the Republican President, and in one case, 12 straight years of an "R" in the WH (Reagan, Bush 41).
And the current president was re-elected in the midst of drama about Abu Ghraib, Club Gitmo, a "soup-line" economy that is doing better than the average of the 70s, 80s and 90s.
"Majority of Americans", my arse.

Dems have always had to run left in primary season then run to the center during the general election.
The media lets them get away with it.
It may be interesting if the "blogos" publicize the leftish stances taken now by the Dems so well that the media can't successfully portray them as "centrists" during the general election.
That would be a radical change in Dem/media election plans.

It is called the Rove-O-Tron2000©® It has many modules. They include mind control, huricane generation and steering, tsunami generation, earthquake generation, global warming generation, remote Diebold voting machine control, etc. DARPA rolls out a new module every few months.
Thank goodness the Rove-O-Tron2000©® is used for the forces of good, not evil.

My hope is he wins the senate seat and then runs for Prez as an independent- taking 20-30% of the Dems votes with him.

The specific sport referred to is foot-racing, where the competitors must keep their feet behind a "line" or on a "mark" at the start of the race--as in "On your mark, get set, go!" Some people say the sport referred to is boxing. In old time boxing matches the opponents had to "toe the mark" at the start of each round. Rounds went until one or the other boxers was knocked down, then a rest period was called. Failing to come up to the scratch mark and toe it at the start of the next round signified defeat.

I predict that the upcoming election is going to be monumental in slinging of mud and other base substances. Republicans are fair game for any dirt that can be dug up or manufactured because Democrats see it as their right to treat 'Dhimmis' in that manner. Lieberman OTOH is apostate, he must be absolutely destroyed. They are going to lose any semblance of propriety and veracity they may still retain.
I wouldn't rule out the Republican at this point, he may well be the only one not absolutely covered in filth, and win by default.

I don't know that Lieberman will win his seat easily, but I think he can win it. Since CT has so many independents, that makes me think that they don't wish to be drug down by party partisans. Otherwise, they would identify a party. While Moore and his ilk may enjoy a season for their ego, they should perhaps heed the era of McGovern and what those anti-war zealots did to their party.
Lieberman will win easily, and the reason is simple. The political spectrum in CT is different than the rest of the country's. I lived the first 35 years of my life in CT, and the Republicans there are different from most of the rest of the country. Movement Republicans tend to be marginalized. Because of CT's industrial and ethnic past, the some of the Democrats are different from what you would find in Oregon or Maryland.
Lieberman will win easily because he will have the mature Dem vote, an overwhelming majority of the Independent vote, and a sizeable chunk of pubbies. He is a smart pol, and will know how to run the IND line to his advantage. His last round of commercials, a redux of the '88 Weicker the Bear ads, were as moch a prequel to an IND campaign as they were an attempt to pull out the primary win.
Weicker has already endorsed Lamont. Lamont will go down big.

"How are the events of the last 24 hours going to impact the campaigns of the 3 RINO congresscritter's in CT?"
I think the three CT RINOs will be hurt by the fact that Lamont won the RAT nomination (had Lamont lost, many abti-war liberals would have stayed home in November), but helped by the fact that Lieberman is going to run anyhow. I think all three will survive.
"How does it effect Rahm's vets who are running for congress(ie Tammy Duckworth)?"
I have no idea. If it emboldens them to speak out more forcefully in favor of a unilateral pullout of Iraq, then it should help Republicans (those vets are running in GOP-leaning districts), but the Lamont victory may end up not having any effect on those races.

Like Mike will blow Libeman away in the polls and win the primaries for being the best ape in the white house,,, and he will get Bush to finally watch frienhiet 7/11. but Liberman is strong and won't back down so Mike has to get Barbs to get Hillary off his back. Nike is the most funnest when he is winning. i'm voting rebulivan to get the chimp out of the white house, so Mike don't have to make another movies. he is the most talent genius I know ans Libeman knows it to. /s>
