Geez you'd think that every source from the Middle East was suspect. We must be overreacting or something.

Jiggyboy, my question is this: Are both sides doctoring photos for propaganda purposes? See the following series of shots of the same smoking boot -- a boot, by the way, that is not burned on the outside, and which is propped up with a stone, and from which the smoke seems to increase while there is no flame and the boot does not burn.

First, here's the URL to the Yahoo page where these shots can be found: http://news.search.yahoo.com/news/search?p=boot+Israeli&c=news_photos

A boot of an Israeli soldier is seen at the scene of a rocket attack in the Kibbutz of Kfar Giladi near the Israeli-Lebanon border August 6, 2006. Ten Israeli soldiers were killed and at least nine others were wounded when a Hizbollah rocket slammed into a group of reservists in northern Israel on Sunday, medics and Israeli media said. I thought that boot photo was questionable as well. Unless perhaps its former occupant was vaporized...

The Truth is Out There

Indeed. Sauce for the gander, old sport. Yeah the boot being propped up on a stone like that removes any doubt that it was staged/posed by the photographer. I guess they've all learned what sells, and the key is to put something personal in the foreground.

Maybe Barbara Eden is getting ready to make an appearance.
