I think Dick and Bill would talk on the phone while they were with their women(not their wives)

Tobacco is a HUGE crop, in Conn.; it's what cigars are wrapped in/the outside of most cigars is Conn. leaf. And yes, that IS what its called.

My recollection is that Morris predicted Hillary would win her Senate contest, but would have a very tough time. So far it appears she is having a very easy time.

I like Joe, even though I don't agree with most of his views.
I think this may strengthen the core patriotic center of American voters, who might look past social issues, to the bottom line security issues.
I think this type of confrontation with the fridge left could strengthen the hand of people like Rudy, who gets hurt on the social issues, but polls strong on security.

Wrong! It means that IF LIEberman wins, he sides with the Dems more than his usual 90%. He's learned his lesson and will now be a good little boy.
In tonight's *cough* non-concession concession speech, he said he was running as an "independent DEMOCRAT"; not as an INDEPENDENT.

It may not be to late to short Reuters. They just admitted to another false story today. (the funeral didn't get bombed like they said.)

If they attempt to appeal to the moderate base, they're going to lose the fringe and there aren't enough moderate Democrats to win anything either
Very good points there. I will use that quote of yours as a lead in to another question.. but what of Hilary and where and how does she go?.. most likely into the dustbin of history.
What say you?

The only thing better would be if the Connecticut GOP had been smart enough to actually field an honest candidate. In a blue state like Connecticut, that'll never happen.

This could be the best thing that ever happened for J. Lieberman. He will get to run as who he is.

If the GOP had an honest candidate, there is a chance he would have split the vote with Lieberman and Lamont would have squeaked in.
As I understand it, the Republican has well-documanted gambling and honesty problems. He is a joke.
Lieberman will win the general election and all of the publicity will work to the RATs disadvantage all across the country.

Could be the best thing that's happened for the GOP for a while, too!

As to your entire post.., Well Yeah!
Why? because not even the most leftist dingbats are not suicidal, and thats what pulling the dem lever in the pivotal elections will lead too. They will plug their nose, pull the REPUB LEVER and then deny they ever did it LOL

"...the fact that Lamont was able to get 150,000 to 200,000 left-wing Democrats to back him doesn't mean he can win in November..."
That and 75% of registered Republicans voting for Lieberman in the general.....

The GOP has won 3-way races in CT before. I would rather have even a small chance of winning an election than none, even at the cost of electing the least preferred candidate.
To: scrabblehack
Make that the cost of possibly electing the least preferred candidate.
To: Aussie Dasher
Dick Morris, America's most prominent campaign strategist... Oh barf.
