POLICE ordered a security review at Prestwick airport yesterday after anti-war protesters boarded a US military aircraft unchallenged.
Three members of the Trident Ploughshares group climbed on board a Hercules C130 transport plane, one of whom sat in the plane's cockpit.
They were arrested by police along with five others who were stopped elsewhere at the airport.

Damn good thing it wasn't a Marine aircraft, I flew with a loaded (round in the chamber) weapon on a load of weapons with a shoot to kill order.

Unfortunately I think they would charge you for murder these days. Seems like the last few years this treason is accepted by our government. I would have expected such a thing under a Clinton administration but We now have soldiers in the battlefield being charged with murder. It's a shame.
Shoot on site or no, how did these morons get in?! What if they were suicide bombers? This is the second time something like this happened, the last were three morons in clown suits.
Is there anything feasable to improve security, or are these freak cases and nothing to get riled about? I always thought nothing gets on a military base without the MPs knowing...period, let alone into a aircraft
The US needs to post its own guards
It is a privately owned...not even state owned anymore...commercial airport. We haven't had a base there, and neither does RAF, for donkey's years.
When foreign civilians are in charge, this is what you get.
Lets rewrite that one: The US has to ask the UK government for permission to post its own guards.
