And just as the Retro-car fad was starting to fade, GM in their infinate wisdom, launches this thing..

My last Camaro was a 2001 SS. That was a pretty car. This new one looks like a Ruffles potato chip on wheels.

Does this mean that big haired mullets, gold chains, B.U.M. wear, disco/anthem rock tunes, white dress shoes, gold Italian horns, etc. are all coming back into fashion?

Hmmm. Looks a lot like the Cadillac XLR..coincidence? I think not! Also, like the previous poster said regarding the retro look, Chevy will be 'A day late and a dollar short'

Too bad there won't be enough customers to buy it. (Same for retro Challenger).
More DUMB decisions from Wagoner.

LOL...I'm going to start growing my mullet now. Oh yeah, and I got to lay my hands on a "Calvin peeing on a Ford symbol" sticker as well.

This is supposed to be GM's new improved '69 Camaro'.
It falls a tad short to me.

Ahh, fond memories of making love in the backk seat of my Vette. Then there was the Camaro. Then came marriage, kids , and the minivan.

By the time this gas-guzzling turkey comes out, gas will be up to $4 a gallon and the target market (teenagers and live-with-mom types unable to find a date) will not be able to afford to run them.
Once again, the Detroit "mediocre three" show why the Japanese Big Three (Toyota, Honda, Nissan) continue to kick their butts year after year after year.

I like the looks, anyway. It's so refreshing to see the end of the "box car" era.

If they were smart they would bring back the rear wheel drive Roadmaster and the Caprice.
I have a friend who just bought a new Dodge Charger with the big Hemi. Thats a hunk of Machinery.
GM again a day late and a dollar short.

What made this car so successful was that it was well priced and gave good performance.
I will be surprised if GM follows this model of success. They want a high profit margin like on a Vette. That's probably why they took this car off the market to begin with. Watch, the Camaro will come in at mid to high 30K with a special version being available in the low 40's.
