Here is the latest on our attempts to help a wounded Marine and his wife who were mugged recently in Washington DC. I have always liked Ann Coulter but that 2nd to last sentence rocks my world.

Update on Mark and Denise Beyers:
I paid a visit to Walter Reed this evening. I did not call ahead to the Beyers, because I was going there anyway and I was afraid they may have been pummeled with phone calls the past two days. (Found out later my suspicion was correct.) Spoke with Mark by phone from the lobby, and as soon as he heard I'm an old jarhead, he invited me up. At first I didn't recognize him, but then I realized we had met two weeks ago at a barbecue behind the Mologne House.
Mark's lovely wife Denise came back a few minutes after I arrived. She had picked up some items for dinner, so my invitation to take them out to eat was politely declined. I dropped off a card, and told them to prepare themselves to be overwhelmed with cards, letters and care packages. They seem surprised, so I shared the story of Joshua Sparling (see Sparling thread here). They said they had been swamped with phone calls (even their cell phones -- they have no idea how those numbers were known), especially by the media. The young couple seemed amused that this horrible incident occurred over three weeks ago, but nobody thought much of it until someone (apparently in Mark's home town) shared the story with the media. Now it's exploded.
I also learned a few details that have been either unclear or misreported. They were not in Bethesda, but in D.C. up near Bethesda. Denise was knocked down (she showed me a lovely scab on her knee), but she was not punched or kicked. And some stories supposedly said Mark's father was assaulted, but he was not even with them.
No items being sent to me for delivery to the Beyers have reached me yet, and Mark confirmed that he may well be going home to New York for good this week. So I obtained his father's address to ship everything for him. If they are still at Walter Reed next week, I will deliver the items then, and they've agreed to let me treat them to dinner then.
On a side note I had dinner with Mike Sparling, Joshua's father, this evening. He and Joshua went to the Freedom concert in San Diego, compliments of Sean Hannity and Kirby Wilbur out of Seattle. Joshua got to spend time with Ann Coulter while there. And get this. Joshua has a date with Ann sometime in the next few weeks! :-) It must have been that "man in uniform" thing!

Al-Reuters photo-gate. Best news of the week. Glad Rush is pointing it out for America.
OMG..I completely forgot that...
And the 40 dead down to 1...
It's really frightening to see the way they attempt to manipulate us.
I'm really not shocked.
CNN is freaking lost it mind. It is doing stories on the wack jobs who claim 9-11 was an "Inside job". Get a grip. That is total Journalistic malpractise.
He CNX, explain why thousands of us WATCHED the planes hit the building. Explain all the photos from 09-11.
What utter scumbags
You get to hear about how Rush likes to breastfeed.
I haven't taken Reuters (or, for that matter AP, UPI, CBS, NBC, etc.) as anything but traitorous and a generally negative barometer for years.
If I see a report on the sun rising in the East on page one of most of the MSM, I'll be up at dawn the next day to check the bastards.
Get a load of this.
"Weapons of mass confusion"
Half of Americans still believe Iraq had forbidden arms despite facts to the contrary.

Gotta love it.
Many in the media have been making up stories for YEARS!

the Israel Defense Forces. HAS is sponsoring a program wherein those
who are touched by the news and want to connect with Israel, are

Messages can be submitted online and HAS will ensure distribution
of these posts to the troops.
HAS Advantage, together with Elite-Strauss will sweeten these hugs,
by adding chocolates to the care packages. Together, these gifts
will show our soldiers that we stand with them and we care.

The deliberate fraudulant media reporting with staged pictures, phony video, blatantly deceitful reporting, it's disgusting. The media is now a terrorist affiliated organization. It makes me think that Israel should tell all media representatives that if they are going to be corrupting the news reporting and faking photos and video to slant reporting against Israel, then they will be considered to be Hizbollah sympathizers and will be targets. Israel obviously won't do that because Israel is better than that, but I'd do it. Journalists who deliberately rig reporting to reach a desired result have it coming if they get killed in the field. They're not unbiased journalists, they're involved parties with a stake in the outcome now. Their liberal agenda is now far and away more important than any kind of unbiased news reporting.
FOX also was going to give that mental case some air time this morning.
Here and there, other potentially deadly things have emerged from Iraqs sands:
Former weapons inspector David Kay declared on October 2, 2003 that U.S. personnel discovered a vial of live C. botulinum Okra B. from which a biological agent can be produced. This was, Kay said, hidden in the home of an Iraqi biological weapons researcher.
In January 2004, according to a New York Sun editorial published that June 1, a 7-pound block of cyanide salt popped up in Abu Musab al-Zarqawis Baghdad safe house.
On May 2, 2004, U.S. forces in Iraq found a mustard-gas shell, rigged as an Improvised Explosive Device. The Iraqi Survey Group dismissed this as ineffective due to improper storage. Of course, the effectiveness of Husseins weapons was not the issue. He either was supposed to prove they had been destroyed, or open his facilities for inspection. Instead, Hussein failed to account for 550 mustard-gas projectiles. This may have been among them.
The Iraqi Survey Group confirmed today that a 155-millimeter artillery round containing sarin nerve agent had been found, also reworked as an IED, Brigadier General Mark Kimmitt told reporters that May 15. Two soldiers exposed to the device displayed classic symptoms of sarin exposure, most notably dilated pupils and nausea, Fox News reported. Officials also told the network that the shell contained three to four liters of sarin, roughly three-quarters of a gallon.
Weapons sleuth Charles Duelfer told Fox News June 24, 2004: We found, you know, 10 or 12 sarin and mustard rounds.
That July 6, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced that a joint effort with the Pentagon removed 1.77 metric tons of low-enriched uranium from Iraq that could potentially be used in a radiological dispersal device or diverted to support a nuclear weapons program, said a DOE statement. Those 3,894 pounds of uranium were in powdered form, which is easily dispersed, DOE spokesman Bryan Wilkes told Hudson Institute adjunct fellow Richard Miniter, author of Disinformation: 22 Media Myths that Undermine the War on Terror. As Miniter concludes: The material would have been ideal for a radioactive dirty bomb.
So, Americans in Iraq have found 500 sarin- and mustard-gas-filled artillery shells, live botulinum toxin, cyanide salt, and nearly two tons of uranium. Yet, no, Virginia, there were no WMDs in Iraq

CNN also did a bit a day or two ago about how the Israeli aggression is causing the "lights to go out" in Lebanon's hospitals because they can't get any gasoline for power. There was not ONE WORD about the hospital in Israel that was actuall hit by a Hezzie rocket.
I did see, however, one report on FOX this morning on the al-Reuters photo-gate. They gave the facts, showed the photos, didn't talk about it too much. Nothing anywhere else.
Hey all!
I got to be with the Marine and his wife, the ones who were introduced to DC by the local Welcome Wagon aka muggers. He is fortunate to have the wife he has. Good Looking, Good Natured, and most of all, a Good Cook.
I also got to meet other troops and their families. I wish we could give these people more. They have given us so much.
I know..we have been seeing this for years- you're 100 % correct. It's actually amazing to see (even if only a fraction) some of it being exposed.
I am -- I'm utterly and completely shocked!! I would never believe it of the DBM. How could they -- my faith is shaken I tell you. I'm devestated!!!
